I love Deodomom. I have been using this product for about 4 years. I have not had any problems and if your question pertains to how long it last before going bad, it does not go bad. Or if you are asking if it has preservative. I believe it has only two ingredients. Expand question please.

Q: Does everybody realize that this is just watered down Milk of Magnesia? I've been putting that in a spray bottle as my deodorant for years now.

Yup, but double checked after reading some of the comment here. Both Medscape and Web MD confirm that the generic/chemical name for 'milk of magnesia' is 'Magnesium Hydroxide". I believe any addititves would be dependant on what brand of milk of magnesium one buys, but pure MoM is just MH. I'm really not into DIYing ALL my toiletries but I think I will see if I can find pure MH/MoM and if it's cheaper to make my own deoderant spray.

Q: does this leave a mark on clothing?

If you let it dry completely or dry your armpit with a hairdryer set on low... it will not stain or mark your clothing... if it is still wet it might leave a mark.
