I ordered this to use in my Earth Boxes as the original Earth Box came with 777 Fertilizer. I thought this would be more economical .My plants did not do as well as they should have. I was hoping this was a powder because powder breaks down easier but this was granules and did not break down as well. I wish it had because I love love love my Earth Boxes.

First off, let me just start off by saying that this is NOT some "super-fertilizer" as some would have you believe. It does make a difference, as any fertilizer will, but don't expect to grow world-record plants and produce just because you use this fertilizer.Having said that, this stuff actually works fairly well. I used it on pretty much all types of plants - from floral to herbs, vegetables, yarrow, and even grass. I did notice that it did help the plants set faster after being transplanted from the greenhouse, and slightly darkened the color of the leaves, showing a nice healthy plant system.I devised a watering system for my garden this year based off of an idea I saw on FaceBook, where you place water bottles in the ground next to the plant. Where I live, it gets pretty warm in the summer, so it's a good idea to have a system where you can get water to the roots quickly if needed. I decided to try and "supercharge" my plants by making a very diluted form of this fertilizer, soaking it in water for about a week in a sealed jar in the summer sun, and just letting it cook. Then, I took the fertilizer, poured it into a watering can 2 oz at a time, and watered down the concentrate, and poured it into the bottles. I thought, by doing this, it would help distribute some of the nutrients from the fertilizer to the root systems, but be diluted enough so as not to burn them. Either I had the formula too weak, or this didn't really do anything for the plants, because there was no noticeable change in before and after.I also mixed fertilizer into the soil as I transplanted them into the gardens.Basically, and what it all boils down to, is if you are looking for a chemical-free, organic fertilizer, this will do just as well as any on a wide variety of plants. It's no super-fertilizer, but it's better than nothing.

I find this fertilizer to work quite well and very quickly. I am glad I purchased it for my earth boxes and will continue to use it in the future.

I have had WAY more green peppers and pimento peppers and jalapenos this year after fertilizing with this product than in any other past year. I will definitely be using it again next year.

I often mean to leave reviews, but often forget to. This time I have to though! Bought the 8 LB size after trying it from the 4 LB size. This (and one other GV product) 7-7-7 fertilizer is really good. I am tired of trying to feed my plants with a bunch of chemicals. My body doesn't want to be nourished that way, why would I inflict my plants like that? Especially if I am planning to consume anything that comes from them?I am happy to report that the ingredients in this bag very natural. Natural like they were dug out of the ground, harvested from the ocean floor or animal remains (you know, just like nature does. Something dies, it breaks down and feeds the plants only to be consumed again). Plus it has some iron in it! May not sound exciting, but did some research and found out this is one of the main things that gives a plant that deep green color, the natural way. No need to dump a bunch of urea on it, that iron content works!You want to give your plants a great nutrition package that works instead of dumping chemicals on them? I recommend this to everyone. The other one I really like also is the 10-7-7. That one is just WOW on tomatoes. Now I want to try the 9-6-7 Rose food.
