I haven't used the placemats yet so can't answer questions on durability or sturdiness yet. They have a beautiful hue to them and appear to be well made. The size is larger than typical placemats. I look forward to using them soon.

Great quality. They look more elegant than I thought they would. I love them. The only reason for the 3 stars for ease of cleaning is because of the ridges. I don’t think they’ll wipe clean easily. I have not tried washing them yet.

Great color that held its color even when washing. Unfortunately they shrunk inconsistently during the wash/dry process.

I work at a Montessori school and we use these as table mats for the students to work on. That means they get (washable) marker and paint on them sometimes. We use high heat to wash and dry to sanitize everything and because we need to dry large loads of laundry quickly. These have held up great. No damage from washing and they are the perfect size and color for our classroom.

These babies are 100% cotton; they can be machine washed; they are heavy and substantial and would easily compliment sterling flatware and bone china; they are available in 14-colors; but most of all, they are 13-inches x 19-inches, larger than anything I have yet seen, and which will allow you to see some of the placemat, even after you have your entire dinner setting on it. Finally, ignore the negative reviews because "Father, they knoweth not what they doeth."

I wanted fabric placements and these fulfilled that desire - but the reality that I have to wash, and iron, these is less than ideal. They do shrink after washing though that didn’t bother me, and I got the mint green color, which I do like

They matched a set i had a long time ago and still have. They match most everything.
