Overall a solid option
For background, I'm an adult goalie who played college club and still play men's league about 3-4 times a week. These are pretty well made. I've traditionally just used skate lace and knots, but my current CCM EF5 pads and skates I've never been able to keep them from untying during a skate, regardless of how I tied them. Wasn't an issue for me until I got the CCM pads. They originally came with an elastic pad system like these but broke within a month or two. Anyways, I've used these from Fix my Gear for about a year and I have purchased a couple of sets. I think the leather and velcro used for the straps is more than adequate quality and I've had no issues with them. They stay together during ice sessions and work as intended. I wear them somewhat loose, with a single knot at the bridge just to keep it centered, and then I run them straight back through the large middle hole of my skate and fasten them on top of my skate. My only complaint with these is I find I usually get about 3-4 months out of the shock cord before it starts to show pretty heavy wear or break. I view the shock cord as a consumable, not much different than how using skate lace was. These use a 1/4" shock cord, which you can find a 50' roll for cheap pretty easily on amazon. I find the 1/4" shock cord to be good in providing some tension without overdoing it. Overall, I give these 4.5/5 stars, as it would be nice if they included an extra pair of the precut shock cord since it's the cord that breaks, not the leather/velcro straps. They work for me and I will continue to use them.

Great Replacement Straps Installed by a Clueless Hockey Mom
I am a mom of a 10 year old hockey goalie who is learning as I go because I have no hockey background. When the straps of my son's used pads stretched out so much they were nearly unusable, I found these as a replacement. I had no idea what I was doing, but I found a YouTube video on how to install these. The installation process was easy, and they have held up very well so far after about a season of use. I will definitely buy these again if we ever need some. His pads are Brian's SubZero.

Updated: end of season
So far, so good. I've used these for a couple months now without issue. Worth noting: I don't land on the toe bridge in RVH, so I'm not sure how doing so would affect longevity with stretch. These are a bit on the short side, too, but hasn't been an issue for me. Update: After a few more months of playing with these at stick & puck sessions and helping out at an adult skills & drills (they asked for a goalie and it's hard to turn down free ice time!), I am happy enough with them. I HAVE been having some problems in my right knee, but I was lacing them through the toe-hole, then crossing through the middle hole under my boot and over top to fasten. I recently started running them straight back through the middle hole in my runner and crossing straight over top, skipping the first toe hole, and it seems to have helped with knee pain (not solved yet, but it feels a LOT better). I think these are a bit short for an adult; they may be perfect for junior or youth goalies. Turns out I lied about that not being an issue...I will probably order a pair of prolaces soon, but these have been working for now. My advice would be to not expect too much from them and play around with how you run them through your skates to find the proper fit. Otherwise, I can't complain too much, especially given the price. Update #2: I'm nearly at the end of my season and I have to say they've held up well. I have around 60 games under my belt, as well as a couple dozen stick & puck sessions (many of those 2 hours), and probably around 24 hours on ice coaching goalies. For $23 and free shipping, I'm impressed. Some notes: - the eyelets became deformed rather quickly, and one broke probably about 50 hours in - the knots have worn through the jenpro in spots, but this has not affected performance - the knot pulled through the tab on the one that the grommet broke on; all other grommets are bent, but still in tact - the velcro is very secure and the cord has held up exceptionally well Had the knot not pulled through the eyelet without the grommet, I wouldn't be replacing them. I still think I would order longer shock cord next time to give a little more play with rotation and vertical movement on my legs (not sure if this company provides replacement cord as I've not looked). I have ordered another brand to try out, but I wouldn't hesitate to buy these again, especially given the price and quick shipping. They likely wouldn't hold up to a more rigorous schedule or at a higher level, but they're great for younger kids (maybe 14u and below, or 10-12u and below if select or travel) or beer league.

Solid product and easy to install
Bought multiple times now. Kid loves these and will continue to purchase until he wants to go another route.

Great addition to Vaughn V9's
Much faster to put on and more forgiving on the joints than skate laces. Quick shipping.

Great toe tie
Dare I say they are better than the brand name version (Brian's). Plus they will fit perfectly well inside the tie whole on one piece True skates. No major bending or twisting to get them inside the toe whole.

Great cost efficient alternative to the big name brand!
Great cost efficient alternative to the big name brand! Quick and easy replacement and the hole setup allows for adjustment for how tight the goalie wants it.

Worked then didn’t
AAA youth goalie. Works well. Back to purchase again. Amending previous review 2 weeks later. Bungee almost completely worn through. Disappointed on the poor bungee quality. Great concept though.

It works well but the cords are too short and thick for my wife to adjust.

These work well for the price. The bungee is shorter then most other companies which makes it a bit difficult. But other wise good quality.

I got these for my son's goalie pads and they are a great fit and quality. Easy to attach on the pads and very easy to use.
