A worthy and wonderful read!
As I turned each page, I was taken through a myriad of emotions that I had gone through myself! The illustrations added fervor to them... I love how Vismaya brings about individuality in character using an 'idli'! Her artwork and wordplay makes this a wonderful book to read and also to gift. It caters to any type of reader be it a romantic or a serious one... one who delves into philosophy or one who is looking for something light ... "Grains of Stardust" is worth your time and money!

IMPRESSIVE READ!
Loved your book Maya! The thoughts, doodles & art...variety & versatility unlike most poetry books today. Simple yet deep...thoughtful and childlike...everything from moon to idlis...I just loved reading! Nice to re-read and understanding the art differently every single time. God bless you & looking forward for more from you.

A perfect debut in which words are enmeshed with a kaleidoscope of emotions
Congrats, Vismaya, for showing the courage to explore a different dimension of life and successfully pen down your thoughts as an anthology when you could have easily opted for a safer familiar option like acting in the movies, just like many other celebrity kids.I was judgemental about this book when I heard about it for the first time and was sure that I was going to deride it as I thought that it would be a desultory attempt of a dilettante to carve magic out of lustreless words based on my previous reading experiences of celebrities tryst with poetry.I call myself an ardent fan of the works of Pablo Neruda and Rumi. I was surprised to see the same energy seen in their masterpieces in a few places in this book. I was happy to read in the foreword that her father, Mohanlal, was reminded of Matsuo Basho while reading Vismaya's poems. The way love and breakups were depicted was fabulous." Grains of stardustin a whirlwind of glittersuspended in spaceStardust in your eyesas they look into mineStardust in our soulsas our bodies entwine." The author's idea of the end puzzle and perfection will sink deep into our souls. The words are enmeshed with a Kaleidoscope of emotions. All the illustrations are simply spectacular. We can see many concealed ideas inside each picture with multiple symbolisms if we closely examine each one.Even though I loved most of the poems, I can't say that this anthology is perfect. We can see the imperfections of a new author in some parts of this book, like the poem where the author tries to become a connoisseur who tries to view the world from the view of edibles. But that is a minor snag that can be ignored. The author used metaphors in the best way possible and created an engrossing book for anyone interested in poetry.

A joyride
I am no poetry lover , I ammore of a fiction kind of person . I ordered this book more out of curiosity, to see what this star kid had to offer. It wasn’t like anything I had read before . It was a total joy ride . The little poems simple & from the heart resonated with me and I am sure it will with many others too. The art was intriguing to me. At first look you decipher something and once you read the poem , the doodles / art/sketches say something else ,it had a whole new meaning ....it had a connection to the poem on that page . The burst of colours the colour combinations used all were different from the usual . This young girl has surpassed my expectations and this is just the beginning .... can’t resist from saying this ...being the movie buff that I am but ....’picture ab baaki hai mere dost’ 😉 !!!! kudos vismaya & looking forward to seeing more of your work & creativity .

A Dynamic perspective
Only few will get what she meant in this wonderful book. As she said we all are different puzzle pieces but together we can combine our colors in the puzzle board. In the search of truth, what is truth ? Its not in the words that you speak its in the way that hold your life. Just like SUN being inclusive. Be inclusive. Hope we all meet it in that junction. The ONE.
