Im afraid to buy because so mamy people said the jar is open and half empty. Is some jars sealed?

The jar I got was full and sealed well when shipped. Lasts a long time you only have to use a little bit.

Does this need to be washed out or can I apply it right out of the shower as a leave in conditioner?

It needs to be rinsed out. It's not a leave in conditioner but a hair mask so you'll want to leave it on for at least 5 minutes then rinse. It's definitely too thick to use as a leave in and your hair would be very sticky if you didn't rinse it out
