you can buy lead mostly anywhere that sells reloading supplies or fishing supplies. I purchased from amazon because its free shipping. same great lead but for the price of the lead only

High quality ingots
I've ordered for casting that was poured into corn-muffin trays up to this product. All other products, other than lead ingots purchased at a plumbing supply, have been inconsistent and of questionable consistency. Pure lead can be scratched with a fingernail, that applies here. I'll order again once I get through some of this order. BTW, well packaged. It's hard to contain 50 lbs of lead in a flat-rate box, but it was wrapped enough tape that even USPS couldn't burst it.

Fluxed as promised, but some cutting required
I smelt & cast my own airgun slugs in .358cal from this stuff and it's a hit. No complaints other than the fact that many of the bars were casted together, so make sure that you have the ability to either cut them apart for workable size or melt them in larger sizes.

Weight received was as indicated
These are not pretty, so if the purpose of buying this is as a decoration or nice paperweight, I don't recommend. I ordered the 10lb box, and at first when I received it I thought it was a bad purchase since the ingots where not properly shaped and one was even actually half an ingot... but I decided to weigh them out, and it came to a little over the 10lb advertised, and it does say clearly in their description that it is sold by weight and not by ingot count, so I was very happy. I have cast (and fired) many boolits for a black powder revolver. Lead seems clean and great for melting.

great for pouring
I purchased 10lbs for melting/pouring into my sailboats rudder and daggerboard. This was exactly what I needed and melted perfectly. If I have the need, I will absolutely purchase this again!

lead is not pure as stated. it's hard cast.
Lead is hard cast, not pure as stated . I will not buy again. hardly even will dent with metal tool. don't waste your money. I may request to return and get refund. this is not pure lead to cast for muzzleloading . I'm very disappointed. if you need for hard cast I'm sure you'll like it. UNHAPPY CUSTOMER
