Styling Cream Medium Hold

I've been growing my thick hair out for the past year and it has now got to the length (about 8-9 inches so far) where a pomade has become increasingly unsuitable. After some Youtube research I determined that this could be a more suitable product and so I bought a tube. The first thing that struck me about this product is that a little goes a very long way so I expect the tube to last at least a few weeks with daily application. The product does a decent job of styling my hair and keeping it in place and off my face throughout the day without a rigid hold, it defrizzies my hair very well, and while the smell is somewhat unusual, it is not unpleasant by any means to me. The cream is not greasy and washes off both my hands and out of my hair easily, so daily shampooing is not necessary, (I prefer to just condition my hair daily and also wash with shampoo just every 2-3 days.) The only downside I have so far is the expense of this cream compared to the pomade I used to use, but as so little is required that is not a deal breaker. I'll definitely be buying more when I need to.

Love this product. You apply it while your hair is damp (which means unlike some others you don't have to blow dry your hair before you apply it-- who has time for that? :/) and it doesn't have a sticky or pasty texture. This was the medium hold which is just right for my hair (I have lots) as I don't want to be sporting a helmet, but I also need SOME type of control. And you can also avoid a most embarrassing situation where your gal runs her fingers through your hair, or tries to, and gets immediately stuck. It's a great, very reasonably priced product from a professional organization that knows what they're doing when it comes to beauty and hair care. And if it will help get my hair to where namesake Vaughn currently resides in the hair-spectrum (at the tippy top!), I'll try it for as long l can afford it, which should be forever unless this country goes to heck in a handtruck.

This product works great. It is a small quantity, and much more liquid that would be expected. Need to shake well first, apply a small amount and see how well it holds down your hair. After getting used to the best method to apply, this fixative has a nice, mild scent.

I've only been using this product for one week, but I really like this product. In fact, I've already bought another bottle/tube of it. I had been looking for basically this exact product (more like I had hoped someone had created this kind of product) because once hair gets to a certain length, pomade, etc. doesn't work as it just gets stuck/clumpy. Also, hair tonic doesn't hold that well. I needed something both creamy and viscous, as well as easy to apply while not sticky to the touch (at least once it is in the hair). This does the job! It holds my hair style in place very well (an angled slick back) and keeps the texture of my hair very soft to the touch. This product does a decent, but not perfect job keeping fly aways down. Also, the smell is definitely not overwhelming, although you do get a whiff every so often throughout the day and I happen to find it a pleasant smell. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this product to any gentleman with longer hair (3+ inches) and/or trying to grow his hair out.

I'm not a fan of the scent. It's a bit chemical, but after it's applied the scent wears off.

I've bought and tried so many damn creams / gels / etc.. This is probably the most well rounded product I've ever found and on top of everything... It has a unique and amazing smell. I can't put my finger quite on it, but it has such a unique and luxurious smell, but definitely not over the top or overpowering at all. Depending on the quantities you use of this cream, it can create a natural look or a more wet / glossy look. I've even found I can brush it out a bit more to get something in-between or just go back to natural. Regardless, this is now my favorite styling product and I'll be tossing all the other ones in the trash at this point. Well done V76!

I tried quite a while to make this product work for me. I tried putting it in my hair when it was damp and when it was completely dry. There was just nothing I could do with it to give my hair any kind of sustainable hold. This was just not the product I was looking for, but I would have at least expected it to have some sort of hold. Instead, my hair just stayed flat whenever I applied it.

Works well but smells like a gerbil cage. Could not use it and ended up throwing it away.

I was looking for a cream to use now that I am letting my hair grow long. I have wavy hair and this showed up in several reviews as a good product and decided to order it as it was available in Amazon for a reasonable price. It sure had a good hold and adds shine without looking greasy. I am still learning to use this product, so hoping it continues to prove a good buy.

Again the smell of this is just too strong and lingering. Pros: - good hold if you don't have major cowlicks - well-designed bottle, looks good and manly - skips a lot of the 'bad' ingredients ("Gluten-Free, Sulfates (SLS or SLES) and Paraben Free, Petrolatum and Mineral Oil Free") - as far as those ingredients go, I think the sulphates and parabens are the only ones I really care about and I'm glad they aren't a part of this product Cons: - cost prohibitive - smell is too strong, lingers in the air too long, sort of a 'stuffy' smell instead of a clean crisp smell - cost Overall, I wouldn't buy this again as I just don't like the smell and the hold is not strong enough for my short hair.

I find it has the same earthy scent that the flexible hold product does, and basically has all of the same properties but is as one might expect slightly tackier and overall true to the description in terms of how much it holds my hair in place. While I do think that other less expensive products that describe themselves as in the middle of their styling power do actually hold my hair better than this does, it does so in a way that doesn't actually make my hair feel hard or crusty at all which is a major problem with some hair gels. It leaves a somewhat shiny but mostly matte sheen on your hair, which I personally like, but some men may not so I leave this as an observation. While it doesn't feel great in your hands, no hair gel ever does, but it rinses off in two seconds. The smell is not nearly as strong once in your hair and dry as it seems like it's going to be while you're applying it. The hold is more than adequate to make my hair manageable overall but still is not nearly good enough at keeping my cowlicks in check and I still have to reach for another product to keep those from flying off at right angles to my scalp. I think over all I still prefer a "dry shampoo" for the easiest and most effective management of my nutty hair, however the finish of the V76 gel is clearly superior to my dry shampoo so I think unless you've got some major cowlicks to deal with yet still have fine hair that doesn't really do anything that looks good naturally that this would be a wise choice.

Got his for my boyfriend. He had beautiful thick locks of dark hair. Product makes him look gorgeous and lasts a long time to because you don't need very much at a time when using.
