We don't wear our shoes inside the house. I suppose it's one of the reasons that my 20+ year old carpet still looks new. I have (had) a place for my shoes by the front door since the day we received the keys to our new home, but when the grandkids are here and when we have family get togethers there can be as many as 20 pairs of shoes crowded around the front door and the wife insisted I 'do something'. The SONGMICS 2-Tier Shoe Bench/Boot Organizing Rack Entryway Storage Shelf was that 'something' and we could not be more pleased.What I Like:I'm going to use my as stated, for shoes at my entryway, but honestly, this two tier rack could be used for plants or books or virtually anything you'd like to display.Used as a shoe rack, there is a small seating area for those who require a seated position to put on their shoes. I used some sticky back Velcro to place a shoe horn at the end of the bench for extra convenience.The natural bamboo wood looks great. The finish is neatly done, it's free of defects and if for some reason you don't like the natural finish, it could be painted or stained.It ships in pieces and requires assembly. The directions were clear, the pre-cut pieces fit together nicely and assembly was quick and easy. From start to clean-up was about 45 minutes.The style fits in any room.It's sturdy and built to last.The cost. The price point is fantastic when you consider the quality, the design, the sturdiness and the number of potential uses.

Just what we were expecting. The bench is plenty sturdy. I weigh about 150 pounds and didn't notice any cracking or shifting, even with my toddler sitting on the bench with me. The edges were sanded nicely, the color of the wood is really nice, and the screws are a subtle brassy color. Easy to fit in our small mudroom, and my son loves that there is a seat just his size!Took a little over half an hour to assemble (with our three year old helping and hunting for some dropped nuts). The TRICK is to put everything together but not tighten the screws completely until someone is sitting on it, on a completely flat surface. Instructions have barely any words but are simple enough to follow. There are two sizes of screws which each have slightly different lengths, but that was the only surprise when we installed it, and the instructions have a picture of the screw needed for each step. All necessary tools are included with the bench.

Love it (and I'm picky).I live in a small townhouse, no garage, but have bicycles that greet you as soon as you enter. I needed something to organize and visually decrease the clutter that jumps at you as you walk in. This totally fit the ticket. Isn't too wide or too tall, so it fits perfectly under the two bikes hanging from the wall, and nicely displays my various cycling shoes and helmets. The wood is a "raw, natural wood color, and when I initially ordered I planned on staining it. Changed my mind after after setting it up: looks great au naturale.I can't comment on ease of assembly; I am fortunate to live with a guy who loves putting stuff together (and taking it apart) and so it was like magic to me. Box arrives; open box; go to the restroom and VOILA!! pretty bench. Okay, so I exaggerate slightly, but, really, assembly was pretty quick and he said "no problem."I've been so disappointed with the substandard quality of many products post-Covid that I've kept my expectations in check. This product exceeded even pre-Covid expectations. Although it took a long, long time to fill the order (and Amazon reached out to ask if I wanted to cancel), I'm glad I waited it out. Great product.

Nice rack, but don't expect to be able to use it as a bench too often unless you are a child, it's just not that sturdy. It looks like it will hold up to kids use for sure.Assembly was easy. Took about 15 minutes with the included wrench and hex key. Instructions were clear and straight forward, Although in all honesty you wouldn't really NEED them- It's a pretty simple piece, just looking at the photo of it gives you enough info to put it together.The boot opening is a little on the small side, too short for most of our winter boots. But, it does hold a LOT of shoes... 6 pairs, and we also use the bench top to hold an additional 4-5 pairs. The short side is perfect for my daughter to sit on to take her shoes on and off.

I keep this bench loaded with old journals, yearbooks, and magazines. The top is handy as extra seating in my tiny NYC apartment. Assembling the bench was strenuous, but it came out great—extremely sturdy and lightweight. Highly recommended product.

"Grandma! Watch me sit down while I put on my shoes!"We had a jumble of footwear just inside our entry, and in the way of visitors. This also made it difficult to put shoes back on, necessitating standing awkwardly or balancing on one foot.I wish I could have found this shoe bench years ago. It is narrow, so it takes up little room. It is sturdy, so there is no moving or flexing when people sit down. It easily holds four pairs of adult male shoes, a pair of taller boots, and a pair of women's shoes under the lower bench seat. I'm telling people that it is for kids, though. There are some hefty people in our area, and there is no polite way to tell someone that they cannot sit on it while others can; I'm not tempting fate.It's not hard to put together, although the wordless instructions could have been slightly more detailed. The wood parts have been accurately drilled, and the metal parts are not silver so that the finished product doesn't look cheap.
