The Soccer Referee's Manual

This is a good book -- I've given in two stars because it is not up-to-date on IFAB's latest law changes as of LOTG 2016-2017/2017-2018. There are several examples in here that are now wrong due to the IFAB re-write of the LOTG.That said, there's a wealth of practical info in here... but if you don't know the new laws really well, you could make some serious errors. For those who know the new laws well, this is probably still worth a read -- you just need to keep your eyes open for the inconsistencies.

I was hoping there would be more information discussing talking to players, managers, coaches. New techniques. The law information is current.

Five stars to the merchant for performance. The book was in pristine condition and arrived several days before it was promised. My husband says it is excellent comic reading. Among its many oddities is a sample score card, filled out in a fashion which shows no grasp of logic or arithmetic. My husband says he now understands why footballers fight.

Exactly what the title states, no frills or fancy words, easy to read and absorb, easy to understand diagrams

I haven't read the book thoroughly yet, but it is not updated with the latest laws of the game (2017/18). I will read it anyway to gain new learnings from an experienced former referee.
