One of the leading bands of the 1980s New Romantic pop / new wave movement, England's Culture Club struck multi-platinum success around the world with their sophomore album, 1983's Colour By Numbers. Fueled by the international smash hit 'Karma Chameleon,' which reached No. 1 in 16 countries, and other major hits 'Church of the Poison Mind,' 'Do You Really Want To Hurt Me,' 'Miss Me Blind,' and 'It's A Miracle' (all of which are featured on the new ICON collection), the album achieved quadruple-platinum sales status in the U.S. and went 10-times platinum in Canada. Culture Club won the Best New Artist GRAMMY® Award in 1984.

Good collection.
Good collection. Only bought it for the photo/disc mix. Had that poster in my room as a teenager. Good memories.

Culture Club are the pop ICONS of the 80's!
Culture Club ICON have taken an artist's top 11 best hits. Features the sweet, heart-moving "Time (clock of the heart),Their cheerful hit "I'll tumble 4 ya," and their heart-touching ballad "Do you really want to hurt me?," are from their 1982 debut "Kissing to be clever." The smash hit, multi-platinum "Karma Chameleon," smooth rocker "Miss me blind," R&B tribute "Church of the poison mind," inspirational hit "It's A Miracle," and haunting ballad "Victims" are from their 1983 sophomore, and most successful album "Colour by numbers." Their War paint hit "The War song," and the lush ballad of "Mistake No.3" were from their 1984 album, "Waking up with the house on fire,". We then get the "Arif Marden" produced song for "Move Away," which was their comeback hit from heir 1986 4th album "From Luxury to Heartache." The front cover of the CD is just beautiful and so lush. And there we have it Culture Club ICON. All tracks have been remastered.

Don't Miss this one Blind!
Excellent collection of hits and a decent modern mastering of these 80's pop classics. All the best CC hits are included here. I toyed with buying the larger two CD set that is available here, but given the awesome price point of this CD I thought it was a steal. Considering the fact that I must have spent $40 or $50 on my 80's purchases of Culture Club '45s, 12" singles and LPs back in the day. Here you get all of the hits for under $10. Such a deal. Boy George's smooth vocal tones are so unique and their 80s hits are iconic and take you back to your high school days when music was varied and strong, without Auto-Tune on every refrain. Definitely a great buy, and quality mastering.

`80`s culture
I was only maybe 9 when I heard the `Karmakarmakarmakarmakarma chameleon` for the first time and I knew I had to have that song. Since that time I have barely listened to Culture Club as it was a passing phase, but I decided to buy the Icon collection for kicks. Glad I did, it was such a rush to hear those 80`s classics again as well as a few I had never heard before. Classics like `Karma Chameleon`, I`ll Tumble 4 Ya`, `Church Of The Poison Mind` and `Do You Really Want To Hurt Me` and my one fave that I had on a 45, `The War Song.
