Outstanding
First off, if you are planning on buying this item, check with the manufacturer as the what item you are getting. The description says 6' medium-light, the models says 5'6 MH, and the rod I received was 6' Med. I was thoroughly disappointed with receiving a heavier rod. However, I decided to keep it. I was very impressed with the light weight, thin and light and responsive graphite, and the quality handle and reel seat. The finish is outstanding too. This is much better than the fiberglass rods. One thing that baffles me is the guides; they are stainless steel. I expected them to be zirconium, ceramic, or aluminum oxide. The description does say that are stainless. I don't know regarding the physics if they are better or worse, but I would expect these materials to be superior. It's a difficult thing to test whether it really improves or impedes performance and friction. I can't tell and I"m happy with it so I guess they are okay.I have it paired with a Daiwa Revros 2500. I have been on a ten year hiatus, but I remember my Daiwa Regal-S was my favorite reel above my more expensive ones. This is the smoothest, most well built reel I have ever used. If you are planning on using 10 or 12 pound test you may want to go to the next size. But it has a low gear ratio, high line retrieval speed, and the bail spring is super smooth, and the spool is very well built- not to mention the smooth drag.

Outstanding Rod at this price point!
There rods are amazing quality at this price point.I have the 6' light action two piece I bought for multi species angling in the creeks and streams of the ozark mountains. This rod is sensitive, but had enough backbone to wrangle in a 7lb small mouth bass with an okuma ceymar c-10 reel. The negative reviews being left seem to mostly come from people who are used to using cheaper fiberglass rods and have stepped up to graphite. This price point makes it a logical step up from an ugly stick or other big box store 30 dollar combo. Here's the deal guys, with graphite your're trading sensitivity for overall toughness. If you get a graphite rod, you're not going to be able to yank the heck out of it trying to retrieve a tangled lure from a tree branch, it will break. if you get hung up, cut your line, wrap it around a stick or something you can get both hands on and pull and tug your heart out to try and retrieve your lure. Don't use the rod inappropriately and it won't break, it's a fishing rod, not a crowbar. Lastly, I've been a St. Croix guy for 10 years, they are great rods, but as a matter of preference, I prefer the handle on these Fenwicks. The cork is fantastic, I don't know how they do it at this price.

Nice ultra light rod.
Very nice Rod, feels good in your hand, well balanced. The way it ships is less than desirable. The line guides were all bend flat and had to be realigned upon receipt. If this was packaged better it be a 5-star!

A fluke and oversite, I assume.
I love Fenwick and the Eagle rods, In fact, it is ALL I own. So, it is for this reason I hold no ill regard to the company nor sender of the rod I ordered. The rod was packaged absolutely perfectly and could withstand one heck of any impact. However, Having said that, when I opened the package it was then that I realized the rod must have been broken prior to shipment and it is completely understandable why. A very short section of the rod had broken off in the one half of the rod....SUPER easy to miss and overlook.

Nice rod for the money.
My Fenwick Eagle 7 foot medium fast spinning rod has great sensitivity allowing for feeling very light bites. The action is great when reeling in bass 6 pounds or better. I’d feel confident using this rod for light salt water fishing.

Excellent spinning rod
I was pleasantly surprised when the rod came to the house. I was worried that it wouldn't make it in 1 piece. To my surprise it was packaged very well. The rod is well balanced and feels great. Very sensitive. Very happy with my purchase.
