children's
Billy (dragon) & I were playing by the sea.Suddenly Billy started getting angry. How did the little boy help Billy get over his anger issues?I do not receive any type of compensation for reading & reviewing free books from publishers & authors. Therefore, I am under no obligation to write a positive review, only an honest one.An awesome book cover, great hand-drawn colored pictures, charming illustrations & proper font & writing style. A very professionally written children’s (preschool/elementary; age) feelings storybook. It was quite easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters, settings, etc. to keep track of. This could also make another great children’s educational presentation (anger issues), movie, an animated cartoon, or better yet a mini-TV series. It was just OK for me so I will only rate it at 4/5 stars.Thank you for the free author; BookSends; BookCave; Amazon Digital Services LLC. Kindle Mobi; bookTony Parsons MSW (Washburn)

Frustration, No Problem!!!
Here is another winner by Melissa Winn. Oliver and his dragon take on another life skill that all children have and show them how to cope with it in a simple way. This simple way is something they can relate to and the illustrations helps to visualize how it can work can for all.Oliver and his dragon were sitting by the sea building a sand castle. A wave came in and the castle was gone. Oliver looked at the dragon he was sitting stiff with smoke coming out of his ears. "My heart's beating TOO FAST!". What did Oliver help him do? You get to find out by what? Listening and turning pages. So simple and yet so fun. Enjoy 😁!!!!!!

‘Take a deep breath and blow your anger away’
Poet/author Melissa Winn is a child psychologist and admixes her skills in that realm with her innate gift for storytelling and the result is her excellent series of children’s bedtime stories that convey a message for a child’s mental and emotional and social growth. She now offers a new series – OLIVER’S TIPS FOR KIDS series – and HELP YOUR ANGRY DRAGON is the very successful fourth volume. IN this book she shares the writing with Zorana Rafailovic. With the aid of fine illustrations by Yana Vasilkova, Melissa delivers an entertaining and well-crafted children’s story, directed to the ages 3 – 5. Opening subtly, the rhyming text reads, ‘I was playing by the sea with my dragon, Billy. He splashed the water and looked so silly. We were sitting in the sand. It was a sunny day. Suddenly, a wave came and washed our castle away.’ And with that, Billy the Dragon becomes enraged and it is up to Oliver to teach Billy how to control his anger by finding safe ways to release it – such as breathing exercises and blowing up balloons, a safe and fun way to not only deal with the normal emotion of anger, but also to benefit those around him with the thoughtful alternative! This is a fun little book – a fine story with a purposeful lesson – and will ’lighten the load’ of discussing anger management with youngsters!
