I thought this was a great kit the leather was pretty decent I mean it's not like Louis Vuitton or nothing but again you're making it yourself for all those people that had a problem with the fact that it didn't have instructions guess what there's probably a dozen instructional videos on wallets of this type on YouTube just don't be lazy it even comes with a little tools that you need and the thread and I think that's pretty much a bonus for a kid I thought it was just going to come with a leather and you were going to have to do everything else but I'm pretty surprised so as my son and myself will be making this for him I taught him a very valuable lesson on doing research to complete a project would it have been easier for this to come with instructions sure but it doesn't make the product invaluable tata for now.

I decided to take a chance on this because a lot of the older reviews were really positive. I should have listened to the more recent reviews though because they are correct it is not a kit to make your own wallet it is an already sewn together wallet. I plan to undo all the stitching and redo it with leather stitching, but it's still an extra step that I should have to do if this product was true to what was advertised.

It would be helpful if this came with instructions. You get 8 precut pieces of leather and have to figure out out from there.

My son made one similar in boy scouts and used it for years. The new puppy chewed it up so I got him this one as a replacement. He had it done in a day and, aside from the sentimental value that the old one had, he loves it.

Ordered two of these for my son and husband to work on as a project. Shipping took forever came from China already assembled. They are abnormally large scratch easily. The inside of the card holders is fabric. Not anything near the wallet making kit I was expecting. When I go to return them it says some odd comment about send them back from a carrier of you choice and pay. What a pain…. Guess I’ll call Amazon and waste my time trying to figure this out.
