Q: is this 12 boxes and 12 seals ? or 24 boxes

My apologies for just responding sooner. These are 24 white cake boxes just as it is described in the heading. You have to assemble them. They're not seals that you see. They are doilles (little liners that you can pick up at any arts and craft store like Michael's, Joann's, etc.), or just use some wax paper from the grocery store. The boxes are light weight and flimsy. So if you have a favor that's heavy, these boxes won't do.

Q: what are the actual dimensions of this box?

5 1/2" x 2 3/4" x 1 3/4" - Bought these thinking they were 3" wide and turned out to be smaller.

Q: Can I fit a dozen truffles in this box?

Depending on the size of them you can fit about 8, (which would be 2 rows of 4 Truffles) but if you don't mind putting it on top of each other than yes you can fit 12.

Q: Can the box fit 3 mini cupcakes? Is there space for icing on top?

I used these with my kindergarten class and we filled them with small sugar cookies. I'm not sure how mini cupcakes with icing would do, however, the boxes did hold about 12 1.5" diameter cookies, so there is probably room for your project, you may have to keep the icing smooth on top.
