The Book on Tax Strategies for the Savvy Real Estate Investor: Powerful techniques anyone can use to deduct more, invest smarter, and pay far less to the IRS! Review: A MUST READ for all real estate investors!! - I absolutely LOVE this book! Iโm only on page 34 and have already gotten so many helpful tips. This is a MUST READ & TAKE NOTES type of book so you can remember everything. Thank you Matt & Amanda for sharing your expertise. โค๏ธ Review: Great book. Obviously for beginners! Duh! - I'm confused about some of the reviews here...Duh it's for novices, but it's also for individuals that are deep into investing that HAVE been doing their taxes wrong. Not all CPAs are created the same. The book was to provide basic knowledge and a few neat tricks to investors. It was very simply to follow, and if you had the audible, it was well paced and most importantly not boring. I usually read all my books at 1.25/1.5, so it flowed well. Definitely recommended for individuals that aren't too savvy with taxes and would like more information so that when they visit a CPA they'd understand the lingo, but also would be better at filtering the CPAs knowledge too. The found the "real life" scenarios summed up strategies well and provided how the individual got themselves in the situation and how knowing Strategy would get them out. No complaints there. Great read ๐ I'm about to start the Advanced Tax Strategy book. Hopefully it's the same.

Useful & Easy to read
I really liked this book. It is very easy to read, and explains very complex tax matters in an informal way, without unnecessary detailed references back and forth. I also enjoyed reading the case studies based on real life experiences. Helps you put the impact of not understanding the tax laws in perspective. I would recommend it to anyone interested in investing in Real Estate.

I read about 10 Tax Real Estate Books Last Year This was my Favorite
I have an accounting degree but work in software. Bought my first AirBNB - great book for real estate. Now I have to find a good Tax Advisor/CPA who specializes in Real Estate.

The Perfect High Level Intro
I've been a CPA for 20 years, and also invest in real estate. I picked up this book as much out of curiosity as anything else. It is perhaps one of the best written books for the non-practitioner out there. If you are new to real estate investing, this is a MUST read. While you likely can't prepare a Schedule E off the book, you will get good advice on what to discuss with your tax preparer and how best to document and look for deductions. The book is written in normal English, using stories instead of code sections. There's not a ton of numbers, but there are a ton of useful tips and principles that anyone can follow...especially if you hate taxes. Even the experienced investor or practitioner may pick up a few tips along the way. I did. A great addition to the library.

Definitely worth the read!!
-Clear and simple language -Complex issues simplified -Practical tips to save on taxes The most useful tidbit for me was the information on using a regular 401 for investment purposes by shifting it into a self-directed 401K/ Solo 401K...pay no taxes to use the money, pay no penalty, and let the investment/property grow inside the fund...amazing! This alone was worth reading the whole book, but I found a lot more great tidbits too!

Most value to dollar ratio you can get!
This book is written by two awesome people who know the ins and outs of the tax code well enough to write a book in common manโs terms. This is the Rich Dad Poor Dad of understanding real estate tax concepts. Easy read and packed full of helpful information your local tax advisor has yet to learn themselves!
