This is a very well made, sturdy tool. I already had a LogRite cant hook that I really liked and this peavey will be a nice addition since you can do some a little different type of log handling with the hook and the spike. The aluminum pole is strong but reduces weight of the tool.

This well made tool is just what I needed. I'm a 67 year old man 5'8" 155lb. We do our own firewood harvesting for an outside woodburner. The Good. #1. Nice paint job. Easy to locate on site. #2. Light. Lighter than what I expected. #3. Added length over our 48" makes the job (much) easier. #4. Peavey has a pointed tip which gives some added maneuvering capability. #5. Handle grip. Seems like a good quality and looks like it should stay put. I did find that the pipe(handle) is a bigger diameter than I thought it would be. I wear large gloves and had no problem gripping it. Overall I'm very happy with the Logrite 60" and would recommend. I like and my back likes. The first time using , I found my upper rolling hand was a foot from the top of the handle. Sliding it up closer the top and what a difference. Keeper. By the way, I don't usually do reviews and never been paid for one. Forestry Suppliers was whom I bought from. Fast delivery and packaged well.

If you do anything with logs, stop looking and just buy this! This is quality and extremely useful! Shut up and buy it now before your wife can say no.

If so this is for you.Mind you.....but the stand for this (sold separately but necessaryThis tool allows you to "hook" the log, roll it towards you which then elevates the log slowing you to saw off rounds.I have logs delivered to the house and we process them and dry them for our wood burning stove. Without this it would make all logs that are on the ground difficult to chainsaw. Potentially dulling blades and kickbacks.With the log elevated it's a huge piece of mind regarding SAFETY and when handling logs and chainsaws.....as a homeowner....safety is paramountGet this AND the standThank me later

Much lighter than the old ones and very stout! Easily roll a 1 ton log!

This is suppose to be a refurbished unit. Looks like it was assembled with the hook on upside down. No problem. It will only require unbolting the hook and flipping it around. I can understand someone working at a warehouse not even knowing what this is but to think anyone ordering this tool and sending it back because the hook is backwards is beyond me. Only 4 stars because the hook IS on backwards

It is light weight and easy to handle. Easy to use.
