and you'll be fine.
Just threw it in the Macbook Pro I've been running for the last six years with a 2 TB drive in it. Bit finicky getting it in (the 2010 Pro still has some unhelpful internal cable attachment setup, but whatevs) but only took about a half hour to get it all together. Be warned, there's no plastic spacer to fill the end space between the drive and the caddy's internal bay. But turns out that didn't matter, because there's integral screws on the sides that'll lock into the drive to hold it in place. Not that the rudimentary installation diagram mentioned that, but again, whatevs. Just follow the directions over at Ifixit, screw in your drive, and be careful with the cables, and you'll be fine.

Perfect for 13 inch Macbook 2012
This worked exactly as I expected and fit my Macbook 2012 perfectly. The installation was easy after watching a quick video explanation. I'm very happy to be running an extra 1tb drive in my mac.
