What metal is it made of? Stainless, aluminum,?

I think it is aluminum. He really likes it. The only thing he has ever said bad about it food does stick but he will put a little bit of cooking oil or Can't believe it's not Butter in the pan before cooking and it works great! He really has enjoyed this product. He/we do not have any complaints about it! If you are considering buying this product ... yes we say buy it! Its great knowing he can have hot foods right out of his truck while he's out on the road! Also there are other 12V products I brought for him ... and they all work GREAT! The lunch box stove is his favorite but he uses it all.

Can i make a juicy steak in this medium rare? Does it get hot enough to penetrate a 1inch thick piece of meat? All I'm seeing is comments about 🍳🍳

Well, the answer would be, in my personal opinion, NO! I tried to fry two eggs with it, had to keep the engine running, to get the pan hot enough, but it took about 10-12 minutes just to get the eggs cooked, but runny and really, undercooked! So I would say that a 1 inch steak would not get cooked enough. You should invest (as I did) in a power invertor, which allows you to use any 120 volt frying pan, and I had a microwave oven in the back of my van, which ran great! Good luck!

No it does not have a non stick coating. But is still a great little frying pan and does the job you need it to

Can you use it indoors with an ac adapter?

I haven't used it in that configuration, I've only used it in the vehicle.
