Broke after 2 times. The heating pad no longer works and I was doing this as a hobby and the window for returning has ended. Waste of money! And so disappointed I wanted to make candles for the holidays

I bought this set for my sister who loves candles. I thought she would enjoy making her own since she can control the scent and color plus she can reuse her own containers. It's a very nice set. It has little tins for the finished candles, soy wax, dye, wicks, a melting pitcher, a thermometer, a wax warmer, and a variety of essential oils. It has all of her favorite fragrances. The wicks are lead free so they are better for your lungs. The soy wax is also cleaner burning than regular paraffin wax. It also comes with stickers to hold the bottom of the wick in place and metal place holders to keep the wick straight as the wax cools. Since the soy wax burns at a lower temperature, you can also add some fun surprises like gemstones or jewelry.

If you're already into making candles this may not be for you. If you're wanting to experience the craft without over-investing, this is it.Pros and Cons (?)-Tin jars are small but cute.-Hot pad is easy to use, great for if you're also doing this with little ones or gifting it to a youth.-The melting jar doesn't get so hot you might hurt yourself on it. Holds a decent amount.-Scents are nice but came to us kind of busted open, so there was oil everywhere.-Colors are okay? Would prefer liquid colors as the wax is used up fast. It is the perfect amount in ratio to the kit, however.-The wax is one of the big reasons I went with this kit, it is a better wax than other kits come with!-Comes with LOTS of wicks that are a great size so you can use them in other jars you may have in your house!-The sticky things to hold the wick in place are quite smart. If you opt not to use them it will not be the end of your candle making experience. So it is very nice that they are included.-Everything is compact and fits in my kitchen drawer without me really worrying about storage space.Our first candles came out amazing except for the one my husband decided to "stir" after pouring. Anyone who's been making candles would know you just have to let it set once you have it in the candle jar...so it was kind of funny but the candle was still useable. We got this as something small we could do together in our limited space. Everyone needs a mental-health craft, I believe anyway, and for us this was something I could get him to do.Some of the things that attracted me to this kit included: Wax, burner (because I didn't want to use my stove), it truly is a "complete experience," you won't have to buy anything extra to make your first candle. It melts safely (which means a bit slowly, but not having a house fire/worrying about my cats is worth that).

Do not like the smells that it came with.

This kit literally has everything you need to start making candles. I've made 3 full tins that were in the kit and 5 molds and still have wax left over. There's coloring and some smelly stuff inside. You seriously don't need to buy anything else except molds if you want different shapes which I've done. I also bought different oils because I wanted different smells. Uou only need to add a small amount of the colored wax to your desired amount of wax to change the color. It's seriously a great kit!

I love this set but the Bruner stop worker after the second time . I am on my 3 rd one now so I think I need to try something else I love the kit

Easy but the burner and heat up thing is extremely small and takes forever to melt the wax it did what it needed to do for the 2oz tins but those don’t last long so i invested in a bigger melter since I’m making candles but other than that it’s easy and pretty self explanatory

Stopped heating after two uses Delivered on Oct. 11 and now on Nov 19 it's not heatingThey only give you one month to return, I wonder whyDO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT if you want something that works after 38 days
