Wonderful And Reliable ⭐🌟⭐🌟⭐
The media could not be loaded. I usually write a basic review but this time I'm compelled to do a type of review that I've never done before. First time ever to include photos and a video plus a bit lengthier then usual. I found that there's a significant amount of negative/poor reviews that are completely inaccurate. I'm not sure why these people wrote what border on lies. Most likely just random occurrences of being genetically disenfranchised or predisposed to lower IQ; anyway...The Crosley Art Deco Alarm Clock is NOT "flimsy", in fact it's much heavier than I imagined, when I tapped on the case I could most definitely tell the plastic is thick.Insertion of batteries, simple. Operation buttons and knobs easy to use and very simple to set-up. The knob to set the time is very easy to turn in either direction. The knob to set the alarm is equally simple. The clock amits absolutely no operating noise at all. The backlight functions perfectly; though I can see how some people may have had trouble figuring it out, even though the instructions are so simple a child would understand them. The control for the backlight is the top most control which is a horizontal-recessed-wheel type that you easily move either to the left or right depending on the brightness you want. I don't use the backlight 24/7. I prefer using the special feature called: Smartlite. I think it's very cool; all you have to do to engage Smartlite is nothing. Just leave that little recessed wheel turned all the way so the backlight appears to be off. What happens is there is a sensor located on top of the snooze button/bar. As the day and the light wanes the backlight slowly becomes brighter as the room becomes darker. And you're also saving the life of your batteries by not continuously having the backlight on, which is a light that you really don't notice in a bright room. The snooze button/bar is obviously located on the top, it's long making it irrelevant where you press, the center, off center or the edge, it works! So even with your eyes closed, your fumbling fingers will find it, press down and click you get 5 minutes of snooze. You can repeat this ad infinitum but if you're still hitting the snooze after an hour then you should perhaps consider rethinking your wake-up time, my point being you can use the snooze several times. And when you're finally ready to drag yourself out of bed the off button, again, is simple to use, just slide it over. The actual alarm sound is an average digital sound, but this one starts off slow and low, then the alarm sound gradually ascends becoming louder; for me it's a gentle way to wake up! I feel it's the right size at 4"×6"; classic Art Deco curves and lines, timeless (no pun intended) black and white with a dash of red and a very handsome chrome-like trim. This alarm clock would be suitable in any decor. Well folks I think that's it. I believe I've covered everything. Please check out photos and video. I sincerely hope my review helps those of you indecisive and also to dispel false reviews. For $20 (if you have Prime and live in a tax free state...but still) this is an awesome deal for an awesome and beautiful functioning Art Deco alarm clock! My highest recommendation...ever!!Warm regards,Michael

Replica bake-lite (fake-lite?), another winning design from Crosley
Such a cool little retro clock! I would replace most everything in my home with Crosley antique replicas, so I hope they continue to make these reproductions of classic retro deigns. Of course, after my husband saw mine he had to have one for his desk at work. I matched it with a small retro table fan and a mid-century metal deco reading lamp on my bedside table to make a film-noir tableau, also from amazon of course. The light-up display is bright in a cool blue color, which I can actually see in the dark of night, instead of the green digital display I'm so tired of. I really like that it is battery-powered, as it is one less cord contributing to the tangle of cords at every outlet, and it can be moved closer at night, so that is a big plus. It takes three AA batteries which I put in months ago and are still charged to high so they will not need replacing any more than a simple battery-run wall clock. Getting a little fatigued with all the digital numbers and wireless everything, and I do not need to be awoken with a blast of music nor do I need a bedside alarm that does everything but hand me a cup of coffee and read me the headlines. It's nice to have something simple, elegant, functional, and designed as an antique replica, without the price of an antique. The silver detail on the bottom gives it a dash of metallic glam.

Classic, beautiful clock
I purchased this item due to its beautiful Art Deco design. It is well made and keeps time accurately and quietly. The glow in the dark hands operate smoothly and quietly. The black color is versatile, and can match any home decor. Clock can also function as an alarm, and has a large snooze button on top. It has a nice blue dimmable light that can also function as a night light. The brightness can be adjusted. The only downfall of the clock was that the blue backlight stopped operating about a month after purchasing. It’s too bad, as it’s the only downfall of the clock. Overall, for me the clock serves it’s purpose and it wasn’t a big deal for the backlight to stop working. I would still recommend this Crosley time clock, I just hope that backlight malfunction gets fixed.

Perfect Art Deco Design with Modern Technology At Amazing Price
Couldn’t be happier, and exactly as described. A solidly built desk or dresser clock done with perfect classic Art Deco design. Has period-perfect features like smoothly sweeping second hand & the “Crosley” brand, a historically accurate Midwestern company renowned for early radio, appliances, automobile and appliance manufacturing. The push bar light-up dial feature is blended into the design so it is inconspicuous when not needed, but readily accessible by a quick “tap” when desired (don’t be concerned about not seeing the always-on dim nightlight glow dial even on its brightest setting - try it in a perfectly dark room before you assume it’s not working - it is amazingly engineered to provide just the right amount of illumination so as not be be obtrusive in a dark room at night.) Great little details like recessed rubber feet that don’t show and spoil the period aluminum-look metal base, but prevent sliding or skidding when bumped to use the snooze/dial light bar. If you like the Art Deco look, this is a no-brainer, and to top it all off, the $20 retail felt like a garage-sale price it’s so low for what you get. Keeping perfect time after a day and a half. Feel like I’m gushing, but this is really a cool clock if antiques are your thing !!
