(Photo) — just needed some patience with the bubbles - I bought this screen protector for my Acer Nitro 15.6-inch laptop mainly to prevent scratches and smudges, especially since I carry my laptop around a lot. Overall, it does its job really well — but I’ll admit, the first couple of days had me a little worried. Installation When I first applied the protector, there were a ton of air bubbles, no matter how careful I was. I smoothed it out with the included card and tried to push the air out, but some still stuck around and looked pretty bad. I thought I’d messed it up completely. To my surprise, though, after about two or three days, most of the bubbles disappeared on their own. By the end of the week, it looked almost perfect — just a couple of tiny ones near the edge that you can only see if you really look for them. So, if you get this protector, definitely give it some time to settle before assuming it’s ruined. Performance and clarity Once it flattened out, the screen looked great. The protector doesn’t mess with the brightness or colors at all, and it actually cuts down on glare a little bit, which is nice when I’m working in brighter rooms. It also keeps fingerprints off really well, so I don’t have to wipe the screen constantly like before. Fit and feel It’s cut precisely for the Acer Nitro 15.6 screen — every edge lines up perfectly. It also doesn’t interfere with closing the laptop or affect the webcam area. The matte finish feels smooth but not slippery, and typing or gaming feels just as natural as before. Overall This is a solid screen protector once you get past the initial bubble stage. If you’re patient and let it settle, you’ll end up with a clean, clear layer of protection that looks great and does exactly what it’s supposed to.
