Great product
We bought these to use on our heavy duty tow truck to connect the tow truck brakes to the trailer brakes of a tractor trailer when towing. Blue is the color of the hose and glad hands for the emergency air so it makes it easy to know that's what it's for. Stays flexible even in the cold, cleans easily and is very durable.

Size does matter, it necks down to .2810 inches in the brass ends.
The orifice is not as big as other reviewers led me to believe...some people claimed it was .3125 inches, which may have been true for older production models, but not applicable to the newly made ones. It's a decent hose, however the model with the 3/8" hose (which has the 1/4" NPT thread ends) necks down to a .2810 inch diameter hole inside the hose end brass fittings. This is still better than my previous hose, which was a Made in USA Tekton hose that only had a .2660 inch diameter orifice inside the hose end. For comparison, the Milton V style hi flow 1/4 NPT fittings have a smallest diameter of .2770 inches at one end anyways, so I'm glad I bought this hose because I did experience a gain. When you compare the (pi*radius squared) areas of the holes, this Blubird hose neck has about a 12% increase in area over the Tekton hose. But keep in mind that just because the rubber hose may have an inside diameter of .3750 inches (3/8"), your limiting factor is going to be the smallest part of the entire hose, which is actually .2810 inches. But if I had to order everything over again, I might upgrade to 1/2" I.D. hoses and the larger 3/8" NPT thread size Milton V high flow fittings to get even better CFM.

Love it.
No problems...especially like how it works well in cold weather.

Mostly as described
Weirdly this hose actually has 3/8" fittings, but it comes with two adapters to 1/4". Otherwise it seems well made.

Quality build
Very well made. Comes with 3/8 in NPT built into hose and includes an adaptor with 3/8 in NPT female to male 1/4 in NPT. I needed the 1/4 in so it worked out well. The hose ends have robust reinforcements to protect the fittings. Nice product.

What an air hose should be
This is so much better than inexp naive hoses with limited air flow. The fittings on this hose allow so much more air and the flexibility of the hose itself is top notch.

Quality air hose
Excellent quality rubber hose. Probably need to wipe whatever the substance that is on the hose. Something sticky and will get all over your hands when rolling back up the first time. Not a big problem though.

I'm sold, I bought 3 more.
I've been a diehard goodyear/continental user for 30+ years but their recent ones get swells and bad leaking at the crimps.... so okay I did my research and a ood bit of back and forth between various brands and settled on bluebird and I couldn't be happier. They get drug on a rough cut cement floor daily , through rocks , mud and I run them upto 200psi with no problems even with a few knicks in them... These are nearly half the weight of my goodyears and just as strong and reliable as those use to be.
