Tappan 8" Range Cooktop Stove Replacement Surface Burner Heating Element 316442301

I needed to replace the burner plate on my stove and this one was compatible with my unit. It arrived quickly and works great.

3 of my ranges burned out and the last one was on its final leg. I have a Tappan stove so these replacements fit perfectly and all of them worked immediately. It was a relief to have a fully functional stove again. My only complaint is in the shipping. I bought two 8" and two 6" ranges and all 4 were shoved into one oversized envelope. There was no protection so when I took them out a couple of the prongs to connect to the stove were bent and had to be moved back into place before they would fit. There were also quite a few small scratches all over the coils from being stacked together and tossed around during shipping. The ranges weren't even in plastic. Hopefully this doesnt effect the longevity of the product but I am giving it 3 stars because fragile items should have more care. I'll update my review if this causes any lasting issues.

This burner works well, heats up much quicker than the old ones. However, it does a strange buzzing from time to time. Not sure if this is a problem or not. I hope it lasts.

I have a Frigidaire stove and despite the lack of a part number in the description this element works in my stove. I was unable to find a Frigidaire element on Amazon.

I have a very old Tappan cooktop, but I didn't want to have to replace the whole thing when the large burner stopped working because that would have required some expensive tile work also. I had no idea if I was ordering the right burner because I didn't know what model number was appropriate, and this one had more coils than my old one, so it didn't look exactly the same. I'm glad I took a chance and ordered it because all I had to do was plug it in, and it works perfectly!

It had a high quality look and fit perfectly on my Tappan cook top from the 70s. It also arrived sooner than expected. Thanks!
