La tapa no cierra hermética
Me desilusionó. Tengo otra jarra de esta marca y quise renovarla por una más nueva y bonita, pero nada que ver con la que tengo. La nueva no guarda tanto el calor. Mejor sigo usando la viejita.

Perfect match for my frieling french press. Hot for maximum of 3 hours.
I wanted a insulated carafe to store our 44oz Frieling French press coffee after brewing, that also matched the brushed stainless steel finish. This was the absolute best quality carafe that I could find that would match it. After a few days of use, I really like how it looks, pours and cleans up. I would absolutely buy this again. I drink my 200F coffee typically within an hour and this absolutely keeps the heat in for that time. I do add some hot water in first while my coffee is brewing to prime it. After only 4 hours my coffee is way too cold to drink; therefore only get this if you want 2 hours of hot performance, nowhere near the advertised performance. The lid seal is no where near as good as a cheap $30 Thermos but I’d say this is better if you don’t need long lasting performance. I love that it is durable, and do not have to worry about an interior made of glass cracking. I did not notice any smells or odd tastes, which I am highly sensitive to. The downside is that Alfi is now owned by Thermos and this is made in china, not Germany like the brand promotes. I'm curious if I would still have to send this all the way to Germany to be repaired, in which case I'd likely and unfortunately dispose of it. The vacuum seal works great now, but is my only real potential concern in the years to come. I replaced my old Thermos with this since it was difficult to clean and didn't match our high quality French press. The price is slightly an issue, it does fluctuate by about $25 that I have seen. I'm happy with it, will update if any issues arise.

Ice cold!
Still has unmelted ice and chilled water at the end of an 8 hour work day. We use this for our conference room and it does not disappoint.

Junk
1. Made in China, not Germany2. The lid closes but does not lock3. It leaks unless standing absolutely still and upright.4. Total junk considering the high price.
