Stains fingers black.
The carabiners themselves and the locking mechanism are good. The look is nice, with the red on black. However, these are supposed to be anodized and not painted. Whenever the locking mechanism is handled, my fingers would end up with black stains on them. I tried wiping away all of the black - see attached picture. I am not sure if that is a dye, a chemical reaction, oxidation, or what.

Rugged / Sturdy / Look Great
I was really just looking for simple carabiner type clips (typically 2.5 inch that you get at conferences with company logo's on them, etc) to secure my ball cap / keys / etc. to my backpack when I travel for work. Thought they looked cool (which they do by the way!). They match my OGIO work backpack (Black with Red highlights), so that looks cool. I was surprised at what I received. Probably because I didn't read the entire description! These are quite large and truly meant for climbing. I'm a "large guy" and these take up the entire palm of my hand. They're a good 4" long and according to the packaging, support hundreds of lbs of weight, which I'll NEVER use; but it looks cool. Overkill for my needs, but they look cool! The twist lock feature works great. There's NO CHANCE anything clipped into these will get lost while I travel. While going through airports, I'm often complimented on them and asked where to get them.

Worked great
Purchased for a hammock. Worked great. Gates opened easily but only after carefully twisting the locking collar. The locking feature is more than I think I need but happy to have it.Hammock, you say? These carabiners are sold for RAPPELLING, so isn't this a bit much?NOT AT ALL!! Think about it. You're relaxing in your hammock--which, in my life, is a rare and precious blink of the eye. Then suddenly you're PLOP on the ground? Or more like CRUNCH--call 911. No thank you! I want a hammock setup that safely holds two people, plus a large dog who suddenly jumps in (or a large child, take your pick).Happy with these carabiners. They meet my (perceived) needs perfectly.

Nice, lightweight 2-step twist lock carabiners
I've only had ‘manual’ locking carabiners or screwgates, so these carabiners are a neat change. They are light, well-made and have a clean smooth finish. The spring in the rotating sleeve is smooth and you can open it with one hand - just hold the barrel with your thumb and index finger and twist. This is a standard two-step twist locking carabiner - you twist the barrel and push open the gate. The carabiners automatically lock when you release the gate as the barrel springs back to its original 'closed/locked' position. Note that the size of the carabiner is smaller than the ones used with your belay device - it has a major axis strength of 22kN, and minor axis strength and gate open strength each of 6kN.

Light and compact
They're nicer looking and feeling than I expected for the price and for being a brand I've never heard of. The twist-lock action is smooth and easy, as is the gate. They're stamped and rated by CE and EN standards which is reassuring though I'm still not 100% sure I'm ready to bring myself to rely on these for critical protection when climbing. But that said, they'd be perfect for gear hauling, hammocks, accessory gear..and in reality I'm nearly certain they'd hold. Get them, and you can decide for yourself.

Holds the weight with safety hooks
Considering that these are made for climbing, I expected the locks to be safe and sturdy.. Therefore if they work for climbing is say value is extremely good for the price. Since I don't climb, I wanted very sturdy hooks for hanging my heavy punching bag. The lock is amazing. Got to work a little to get the lock open but it's still possible with one hand. Have to turn and push latch. If you let go, the latch locks again. Saving your life or grabbing whatever you are hooking. That said, I've got a 80lb bag hanging from a spring that holds 250lbs. I'm 200lbs and hung from the bag. The 250lb spring barely moved and the hook didn't move. So I guess it works. It's been up for a week. The test will be many hours of hitting from the kids over months.

Bigger than Expected
I was pretty amazed at the size when I got these. They are bigger than your typically carabiner, but look fantastic. I still use them for my keys and you can barely use 1” key rings with them.I prefer these as they do have practical use in emergency situations. The locking feature is different than what I’m used to but after 1 day I’m already getting the hang of it (no pun intended).I’m hoping the paint holds on for a long time as I’m sure that’ll be the first thing to break down.

Good deal
Bought these for my hunting/camping excursions (and my bug-out bag), but have used them around the farm. A bit lighter than I would like for climbing a 100' tree, but secured stuff enough to move things around the place. I wouldn't stress them more than the advertised weight though - not sure of the safety factor in figuring that. I have some 5,000 LB biners for climbing.
