Sculpting in Wood

Bit of a rip off!
I bought this item as a gift and, whilst it seems to be a nice book, I am irritated by the misleading listing. The RRP is stated as £25.99, reduced to £23.39. I thought this was a pretty good deal until I received the book and realised that the RRP is clearly £19.99, as it's written on the back cover. Now, the intended recipient of the book will think I've spent less than I have and I feel as though I've been ripped off. The silly thing is, that I would've been happy to pay the full amount, but I don't appreciate being lied to. You cannot state that an item has been reduced from a fictional amount and then charge more than it is worth. There is no option for me to contact the seller directly, so I don't feel I have any choice but to leave a negative review. Not good.

Wasn’t embarrassed to give this book as a gift.
I confess I know nothing about wood carving but do know about Dremels so for my friend, wishing to get into wood carving and having a Dremel still pristine in its box for ages, this looked ideal.I think on the whole it is, the book has lots of photos, seems to be written in easy to understand terms and gives lots of information about the ‘tools of the trade’... including that ol’ Dremel! 😄Looks like an ideal introduction.

Wood carving
A good practical start to carving with the 'cunning plan' that when you have carved your first piece you will be hooked. Like all books on specialist subjects one could wish that it went into, in this instance, a more extensive examination of the most suitable wood. However, to do so would cut across the very clear aim to 'introduce' the subject and I would recommend it highly to someone seeking a start point
