Bought this to reduce cable mess behind my desk setup and it’s spot on. Solid build, snug fit, and no overheating even with heavier equipment like monitors and NAS units. The 0.5m length is perfect for short runs — avoids that coiled-up cable clutter you get with standard leads. Ideal for minimalist setups or tight spaces. No frills, no drama — just works.

The lead seems fine and at first I was impressed BUT ... this was very lightly used for portable equipment and after a few occasions of plugging and unplugging (maybe 10 or so) the outer cable cracked showing the inner strands of insulated cable, I have 'repaired' this a few times only for the cracking to reappear somewhere else. I've not used them often but now intend to throw them away. UPDATE Whilst searching for replacements I noticed that the suppliers offered lifetime warranty so I did mention this to them - despite my leads being over 2 years old they refunded the order immediately ... WOW ... how is that for service. My view is that it's how you manage when things go wrong that is important and TRD Electronics have been exceptional. They have my replacement order.

We were in need of a new power cable for my wife's monitor, having lost the original one some time ago. This lead does the job without issue. Seems to be well made, great price and works. So, if you need a power cable for your monitor, buy this one :-)

I bought the half-metre lead to tame the tangle beneath my desk. The familiar IEC-C13 to three-pin plug is rated at 250 V, and the moulded head even conceals a little surge and heat-protection chip, a reassuring touch. In the hand the mouldings feel robust, the pins sit snugly in the socket, and the short length means there is no spare loop to gather dust behind the computer. There are, however, a couple of niggles. The PVC jacket is rather stiff, so encouraging it round a tight corner takes some persistence, and black is the only shade on offer, which is a shame if you like your cables to match. Even so, after a fortnight of daily service powering a monitor for ten-hour stretches, neither the plug nor the lead has warmed up or issued a single buzz. Overall, I trust the build quality, I only wish the insulation were a touch more pliable.

What an improvement - i can now wander around the house with a boiling kettle in my hand (actually, i bought it to connect a ceiling hung air cleaner in my workshop, but that didn't sound so amusing!)

I recently had a small electrical fire in my apartment that led to a few of my power leads burning out. I was a little nervous post-electrical fire but these cables were sturdy, well built, and definitely as safe as they come. Really helped sort out the problems I was having in a jiffy and could go back to using my appliances in no time!
