Pompeii: Back From the Dead

It was good good and informative. Disturbing also. Such suffering these people must have experienced! Would not recommend this for children, or for that matter, teenagers. The stupidity of the current residents living in region is unbelievable!!

I have a master's degree in history, and my love is ancient Rome. I read this book just before making the trip to Pompeii from Rome in May ~ it's excellent historical fiction and I highly recommend it.

I used this in my 7th grade history class and it really engaged my students. Be aware, there are a couple of references to the sex industry, though nothing graphic.
