Excellent large format PC monitor for a great price!
What a great monitor! I was looking for a more modern replacement for my old desktop monitor that refused to light up. Wanted to consolidate two smaller monitors into one larger one.The brightness is excellent, white is the proper color and it has great contrast. I use it for multiple tasks, programming, reading blogs and watching movies. It does them all with excellent results. No flickering, no funny stuff. Just perfect picture. I'm using an Nvidia GT 620 card and it easily supports full resolution at full frame rates. When you read reviews that say the anti-aliasing is bad or that moving video is blocky, realize they are complaining about their video card and projecting it's faults onto the monitor. This monitor is fully capable of state of the art applications, every day gaming and High Definition movie use.I see previous reviews commenting on the flimsy base or that it doesn't sit level. Mine has none of those problems. It is both stable and sits perfectly level. The tip mechanism isn't hard to move, but it doesn't move by itself. Just perfect in my opinion.I can't write about the internal speakers because I have not hooked them up, but you can't expect big system sound from tiny speakers built into a monitor so if that's what you're looking for, get some real speakers. As far as this monitor being borderless, the measured distance from the edge of the display to the edge of the display area is 7/16" on both sides and the top.

Crystal clear, bright image, good value
I have a dual monitor setup attached to a Mac Mini. Since I moved into an office with big bright windows and white walls, the amount of ambient light in the room meant small text on my old AOC 24 inch monitors could be hard to read. I purchased this Acer model H276L and a more expensive ($415) ASUS PB278Q 27-Inch, which does 2560 x 1440 and uses a slightly different technology PLS. I found side by side I preferred this Acer for the detail and sharpness. The is bright. The glossy screen does have some reflective issues but overall a huge improvement over the AOC in terms of readability. I have not seen any of the bleeding around the edges that Amazon warns about IPS monitors. I like the minimalist frame design. CONS. One thing I DID like better on the ASUS was the adjustable height. The Acer has no adjustment. And the Acer has no labels for the control buttons.Note on resolution: I had considered the more expensive ASUS primarily because it handles 2560 x 1440 resolution, but the Mac Mini can only drive one monitor at that resolution (using a MiniDisplayPort to Displayport cable); the other HDMI output is limited to 1920 x1080 so I would have had two monitors running different resolutions and that does not make sense for me. Acer does have a 2560 x 1440 model the Acer K272HUL if that is what you seek.

They are BEAUTIFUL. It is so hard to find gloss screen ...
I got two of these suckers. They are BEAUTIFUL. It is so hard to find gloss screen monitors now a days. I upgraded from two 23in monitors. The H276HL has much sharper and crisper colors than my older ones, they're much bigger, and gaming on them is a dream!Setup was cake. The stands are minimal, but actually really sturdy compared to other monitor stands out there. The monitors themselves are extremely lightweight, and very thin! These are my first ACER monitors, and so far, I love them! The reason I only give 4 stars is they aren't VESA compatible. I wasted money on a VESA stand and adapter mounts to mount these, and they just wouldn't sit right. They also can't be adjusted vertically (to my knowledge). Haven't had a single issue with viewing angles yet, and haven't noticed any ghosting in games or movies. My last monitors were really bad with that.

I also didn't expect the best since I have had problems with acer before
Bought this having low expectations for 1080P at 27". I also didn't expect the best since I have had problems with acer before. However, I was (and still am) blown away by this monitor. I am sure it is far from the best of the best, but this is easily the best screen purchase I have ever made. The colors look phenomenal and the resolution looks no where near pixelated like I expected. It does have a bezel but is half an inch if that, and will look GREAT when I get my other two monitors for 3-way surround. I haven't tried the included speakers, and wont because I have a surround sound system. Overall very happy and very surprised. This is one monitor that I will not be sending back and will definitely use them in my surround set up.UPDATE: After nearly a years worth of use, I have grown to absolutely hate this monitor. The size is great, I love 1080p at 27", The problem is that this thing has a terrible ghosting issue that is extremely noticeable and is only getting worse. As soon as I can, I am replacing this monitor. Please do not waste your money on this thing.

I was very disappointed that these monitors are so fragile
I Purchased two of these Monitors for a dual setup. After initial using them for about a year I was adjusting the monitor position bye hold the edge with my thumb. It cracked with very little pressure. So because this is not covered under warranty I had to purchase an additional monitor or choose another two models for my setup. I was very disappointed that these monitors are so fragile. Then after some months had past I found my other monitor had a red line in the middle. I return that for warranty repair, however you a required to pay the shipping which could be 30 to 50 dollars. Today I received the warranty return and immediately hooked up the monitor to find an internal crack down the middle. Its funny how my original Monitors were shipped in the original box without issue. Yet Acer returned my monitor in a larger box with different packaging. Since this was obviously not my fault, one would assume Acer would ship out a replacement once receiving tracking information that I returned monitor back to them. No. I have to wait an addition several weeks. Warning Very Fragile Monitor!
