Fritos Original Bean Dip, 9 Ounce

The flavor and texture of this is basically the same as any old can of refried beans. That in itself is not a problem, I love refried beans, but a 16oz can of refried beans costs between a dollar and a dollar 50, this thing is over double the price for considerably less beans.Things I like about this, the size of the can and the lid. Normally I have to throw out a can of refried beans because I can't eat them fast enough. I like the size of this can, I just wish the price was reasonable. If they brought the price of this down to $1.50 I would give this 5 stars.

Something you can rely on. College dorm and high school munchie dip with that trusted spiced bean flavor and consistency. Great with corn chips. Decent in a burrito with cheese and rice and onions and salsa. You can't go wrong with this one for a late-night pig-out.

Expensive for the amount of beans you get, but its flavor makes it worth it.

What a yummy snack, appetizer or with a meal. Great with iconic Frito Scoop chips, perfect with guacamole and a buncha hot sauce and/or salsa: this is Senor Versatile. Goze la vida!

This is my go-to when I feel the urge to snack. I've been buying this bean dip for years and I love, love it. Was surprised to find it here and an excellent price. Will order more next time!!!

Let me first say that I'm a chips-and-dips kind of person. One of my favorite texture combos is chips and guac (I could eat that every single day and be super happy). When I'm at parties, I frequently fill up on the appetizers because there's always some sort of chip and dip on the table, and I can't say no. So when I saw this bean dip as an option for Prime Pantry, it just seemed like a natural choice. In retrospect, I should have ordered 10 of them!The bean dip is small and easily transported, so the package arrived as if I had purchased it at the store. It is super tasty - just the right amount of spice (which for me means it's not on the spicy side) and it's relatively healthy. I know - weird, right? This is the bean dip that is sold right next to the Slim Jims and Doritos, so why would any health-conscious person purchase this? Well, it's actually not that bad: one serving (2 tablespoons, which is the standard serving size for dips) gives you 35 calories, 1 gram of fat, 0 grams of sugar (although sugar is listed as an ingredient, so there is some sugar in there), and 2 grams of fiber. For comparison, another "healthy" dip, classic hummus, can have 70 calories, 5 grams of fat, 0 grams of sugar, and 1 gram of fiber per 2 tablespoons. If you don't eat grains, this don't eat this dip! It is made with corn oil and maltodextrin (from corn), so that is why I deemed it "relatively healthy." I love this dip, but the chips I ordered to dip in it came open and stale. I went to the grocery and bought fresh bags and enjoyed this dip, but what a hassle.
