Imagimorphia: An Extreme Coloring and Search Challenge

A well deserved five stars this time around. I loved Animorphia, but didn't rate it as highly as I could have due to the terrible paper the edition I had was printed on. I still have it displayed prominently on my shelf, but colouring it is nearly impossible unless you use nothing but coloured pencils. I am pleased to say, that this book, Imagimorphia, is printed on much heavier paper. Even the cover is heavier and more resistant to the abuse these books get from use. Not only is the quality of the overall book better, but the designs are amazing. I feel like the artist really took the things he learned from the first book and applied them to this one. There are so many wonderful details to colour and the arrangement and versatility are fantastic. I can't find a single picture in this book that I don't love and I look forward to colouring my way through them all. I have already coloured in the first page, and used markers--and there is no bleed-through, so I'm thrilled that I can have more options when colouring this book than the first. The complexity of this artist's artwork astounds and I can't wait to read what others think of it as others discover his talent. This is one I am thrilled that I bought. Definitely recommended.

One of my favorite coloring books.

I love Kerby Rosanes coloring books, beautiful illustrations and very detailed, not for everyone though. The pages take a lot of time to complete which is good for me. Paper is very thick and sturdy. DO NOT USE alcohol markers though as illustrations are printed on both sides of paper and WILL bleed.

Kerby has magnificant illustrations. It does not matter if one likes that look or not, there is NO denying the talent here. I purchased Animorphia and pre-ordered imaginmorphia at the same time, as gifts for guys in their 20s. I was disappointed in the set up of Animorphia, not with the illustrations, which are wonderful (even thought they are not "my thing") but b/c it told the user what to do nearly on every page....for example, "fill in the wings", "fill page with BLANK" I want to color, not draw (unless I choose to do so) and do not want someone tell me what to do. It is obvious what one "can do" if one chooses to do so, thus for me the "instructions" messed up nearly every page. I sent Animorphia back for the reasons previously stated and worried about imaginmorphia. Well, VERY HAPPY to say, I am so glad I did not cancel the pre-order. When imaginimorphia arrived, my mouth dropped in awe while looking at the illustrations and then my lips curled upward into a big smile, "NO DIRECTIONS":) One can look for the hidden items, if desired, but the hidden items do NOT take away from the illustrations! The directions which basically say to have fun coloring and finding objects are in the beginning only:) At the end there is an answer key of where the objects are hidden and what is hidden. Other than that, pure bliss of enjoying awesome illustrations. They are not even "my thing" and I could look at them over and over and not considered my money wasted, even if I didn't color ONE page. That's saying a lot! I'd purchased both as gifts for others (guys in their 20s) and imagimorphia so enjoyable that this 50 year old may just get one for herself! Hopefully the illustrator focuses on the awe-inspiring art work in the future instead of giving others "what to do" instructions. I hope someone has taken pictures and posted them (very hard for me to do) but it is still difficult to see the detail in the posted pics. The book would be excellent for all medias but especially for fine point markers or gel pens.

I want to love this book. The illustrations are amazingly drawn and detailed. The creativity is superb. The final product turns out well. But…I find it intimidating and difficult to work in. I like patterns. I like intricate. My issue with this book is probably that there’s intricacies but not too many patterns. That makes it difficult to repeat colors. I find I end up using so many different colors on one page that I have a hard time keeping track of them. I also find that when I’m about half way through, I want to be done, and not because I’m anxious to see the final outcome, but because I’m tired of working on it. My other issue is, and I knew this when I purchased the book, is that it’s double sided and markers bled through. I’m it’s really made for other mediums, but I don’t enjoy working with pencils as much. I’ve seen other colorists do amazing things in this book using colored pencils and layering, but I don’t have the patience for that unfortunately. However, that’s not the fault of the author. I ranked 4 stars because of the complexity of the book. Wanting to use markers is my issue. I wouldn’t recommend this book to anyone who wants a fast color or who is intimidated by lots of detail. In the right hands, it can be lovely.

Just love it! Intricate and detailed. Super satisfying and time consuming. Exactly what I'm looking for.

This is my first time buying from this artist and I am very impressed with every page in this book. It’s super thick paper makes it my Favorite coloring book yet. The detail is amazing and as you color the creativity just seems to come overflowing with color and if you suffer from adhd anxiety depression etc this book is one you can hyperfocus on and bring peace amongst the 1000 things in your head

On ne présente plus les albums coloriage Kerby Rosanes, un must ! Ses derniers albums sont sublimes, certains seront heureux de savoir que les doodles chibi ne squattent plus les illustrations

E' da tanto che volevo un libro da colorare, ma non i soliti con pochi dettagli, uno bello complicato. Non sapevo quale delle due edizioni comprare, ma leggendo le recensioni ho scelto questa che dovrebbe avere le pagine più spesse. Infatti le pagine sono più spesse dei soliti fogli da stampa e la carta è completamente liscia. I disegni sono fantastici e in alcuni è richiesto anche di metterci del proprio, completando delle piccole parti all'interno di un disegno lasciate senza dettagli . C'è anche un gioco all'interno del libro: trovare delle immagini all'interno delle varie pagine. Nulla da dire...un libro fantastico che offre anche di più di quello che mi aspettavo!

Buen producto, alta calidad y variedad de dibujos, tiene bastantes hojas y es muy original. Elegí la versión en inglés, lo compre en "The Book Depository", tienda recomendada.

I really love this book. I was a huge fan of Animorphia as well (so much so that I have multiple copies). The paper seems thicker in this one than either of my Animorphia books, I have also noticed that the paper is rather smooth, so I don't know how well colours will lay down on it without the tooth, but I haven't tried it out yet as I am working on some other projects. I will probably purchase a second copy of this book sometime as well. The pictures are really neat, I like that there are animals, as well as other things (Anchor, Compass, Skulls, Sphinx and more) it gives variety to the book.

Really good drawings to color. I liked the style. The images morph into each other beautifully.
