Arrived in good condition. Looks good on the wall and was easy to install.

I genuinely don't know how the people who are having negative experiences regarding towels being shredded are getting there. I installed 2 of these in MY office and haven't had a single one shred on it's way out. Maybe that's because I don't stuff it to the brim with towels, maybe it's because I'm careful to feed the first sheet through the opening carefully, maybe it's because we, unlike others, may just be more careful when removing towels from the dispenser. Who knows? What I do know is that we've had a 5-star experience. It was easy to install, looks great, and functions as needed. Yes, you do need to be careful with the door when you open it to refill, however, I feel that's common sense.

The product material in the design of this item is high quality. However, we use the tri-fold paper towel, and the opening of the unit shreds the edges of the towels, especially if the towels shift out of the center of the unit. The unit itself has an extra 3/4" gap on either side of the opening, so as another consumer had posted, he filled the empty space with some sort of block. I thought that maybe using a wider paper towel might work, but then the small opening would just shred both edges of the paper towel......so, to work with little shredding, keep the towels in exactly center-position and dispense each towel slowly. We have a plastic unit as well, and that works 100% of the time; but I wanted stainless for this location.

Waited a few months before writing a review. Will update if opinion changes. Bought this and another brand of paper towel dispenser at the beginning of Covid. On the first day - both ladies of the house were skeptical to say the least. Roll forward the clock and can't remember what it was like before having it! This one we put in the kitchen and holds two packs of folded paper towels at a time. The only negative was I bought it from Amazon Warehouse to save a few bucks and it was missing a key, so had to use a substitute. It's sturdy and works fine, but it depends on the type of paper towel you use. If you use the "hard and thin" (cheap) type; agree it will shred the paper towel trying to pull it out (which happened with us on the first type of paper towels we bought). If you use a sturdy brand of paper towels (ex. Scott or Kleenex) and remember to "feather" the corners before inserting (e.g. flipping the edges like a deck of cards to help "fluff it out"); they come out fine - one at a time. (My guess is that the other reviewers didn't do this?) All in all, very happy with the purchase (except for the key part..) and now we use both the roll and this one.
