Used Book in Good Condition Review: Very Informative - This is an up to date manual for the traveling businessman who cares about their personal security. It is full of good to know, handy information. The back of the book has a country guide for the various places you may be visiting outside the USA. There are things about each country like how to dress for business occasions and how to dress just to blend in. I recommend it even if you are not traveling out of the country. For example, there was a very interesting tidbit about how to secure your laptop computer in case it is stolen or someone tries to hack it to steal business information. I found it interesting and recommend it highly. As usual, desertcart had a great price, packaged it well and got it here quickly. Review: Great Book For Overseas Travel. - Contains very valuable information for anyone traveling overseas. Simple and logical stuff to keep a traveler or professional or govt official out of trouble and somewhat off the radar screen of criminals and hostile government. I really appreciated the chapter on how not to look like an American but rather look like a local. Details like how you eat your food, how you use utensils, can allow bad guys to spot you. Ah! An American! I've traveled overseas a bit and No! You don't want people to immediately spot you as an American or you just might appear to become a statistic.

How to survive in unfamiliar territory
Fully of good travel advice. How to increase awareness and not stand out of the crowd. Make yourself into a Jason Borne when in strange places.

Great resource!
I've now purchased x2 copies of this book, one to keep and one to gift. This is a good informational resource especially for the "limited experienced" international traveler. I've traveled a lot in various OCONUS locations and can say with certainty, this book is spot on. What he writes about is by no means "new revelations" or rocket science, but it definitely re-enforces common sense which seems to be in short supply these days. I highly recommend this book as a "pre-travel" must read if you're heading outside the US.

Great lessons for today's world
Great book, it definitely teaches you things you need to know in today's world and I think more people are going to need to learn the lessons in this book. I think what it teaches is great not only when traveling outside the country but also inside our boarders with the way things are changing.

OK for someone never in the military
I was expecting a lot more, but you get a lot of tech. talk and acronms but little substance. Most of what is covered I already knew from prior military travel (12 yrs), If you live in fantasy land and never worry about being on guard overseas then this book would be OK. I think most busness men and women know Americans are tragets where ever they go. Always keep your eyes open and never let anyone get too close to you. Remember trust no one.

Great read and great reference book
I bought this book after reading rave reviews by Brandon Webb author of the Red Circle. Turns out it was immediately applicable to me as I prepared to visit China for the first time. I enjoyed the insightful approach to Situational/Personal awareness and thought that the "real world" travel tips were first rate. I've only just begun to re-read sections of the book again and am enjoying it even more than my first pass.
