I LOVE this light blanket! We are going through some changes in our house--my older (76) husband fell and shattered his hip in April 2016 and because he also has Parkinson's came home from rehab still in a wheelchair. We've installed a hospital bed in our bedroom, rehab continues, and he is beginning to take steps! But to the blanket--while ordering a ton of various products, equipment, supplies from Amazon I came across this down blanket. What sold me was the fact that the down was sealed in the individual squares, it looked lighter than the usual down comforter we put on the bed for cooler months (we live in Georgia), and they said it was machine washable!!! I swear we are clean people who shower daily, but my husband's side of the comforter would develop this grimy looking yellowish tinge--sending me to the commercial laundry mat with it every year. The blanket arrived quickly and I didn't use it immediately because it was July, but one night I just felt "cold" in our queen sized bed. My husband was sawing logs in his hospital bed not ten feet away, but I had not realized how you can miss the heat of another body beside you in bed--even if you are not snuggly sleepers. I Took this blanket out of its neat little package (it really folds up nice and flat--not much thicker than a single flat sheet) and put it on top of the bedspread. Ahhhhhh. I was amazed at how that light layer brought just the right amount of warmth and weight to my bed linens. I could feel my body relaxing. I slept warmly and comfortably. So far I've folded it up and put it away each morning after I've used it, but I'll probably install it as an under spread layer in the Fall. I really like that it provides warmth and comfort that I associate with a down comforter without the BULK. I haven't washed mine yet--I haven't used it enough. I'm trusting the other reviewers who say that it launders well. I can tell that it will fit into my home machine nicely. It is not as bulky as the thermal blankets we are using on my husband's hospital bed. I plan to buy other colors and put them on all of the beds upstairs for when the children come home. The price is pretty reasonable. I bought the gray for our room and the color is a nice silver/light gray. I'm pleased.

EDIT: update 5/27/2024 This all weather comforter has stood up very well to repeatedly being washed and dried on hot. This became necessary due to being repeatedly soiled by pets It hasn't faded, torn, or shown any signs of wear. It feels good in summer, as it's light weight. During winter i layered it with a blanket and it was good. The longer i have this blanket, the more i love it. Hence my update!Original review: Seems nice. I slept comfortably under it all night. I wish it was fluffier. The outside is 300 thread count cotton. I love cool comfortable cotton. The color is pretty and I like the satin blanket edge. It says it's machine washable, I hope this is true. I chose to purchase King size for my queen bed because I like it to hang down longer from the mattress, the size is exactly what I was hoping for. After I use it awhile and break it in, it might turn into a 5 star rating.

Warm, without being overly hot. Very lightweight. Looks great.

This blanket is nice...it's a good weight...not too much not too little but I do wonder if it's truly a Puredown blanket...their site has NO black blankets like this and when u first take this one outta the box the cover feels almost plasticky...this was remedied with a gentle cycle wash and just a lil fabric softener and detergent but it is very diff than my pinch pleated goose down blanket I purchased directly from Puredown...I wld have went thru their site again except like I said they didn't have any black blankets like this w the satin trim...gonna give it a try and see how it goes...might be sending it back if it's not a true Puredown.

The product arrived promptly and good condition packaged in a plastic zipped cover went on my bed. I just put it in the dryer for a few minutes first. First night sleeping with it absolutely perfect kept me warm but not hotLove, love, love perfect for all warm blooded, Californians 🫶💗💙 Hubby loved it too

Been using this blanket for 4 months and have yet to see any feathers from it. it is down, not feather, and the outer shell is cotton, both of which were huge selling points for me. It is warm enough for cooler nights and not too warm for apartment life. It's light-weight cozy and breathable, unlike microfibre. The colour is true to the image and love the crisp, cotton fabric with the satin trim. It is well-made and the quality materials used is very good. This perfect-for-me blanket is an all round winner. I am very happy with this purchase.

I am a hot sleeper, my partner is always cold. I bought this so I could put on top of the sheets with a duvet on top of all of that. I push aside the duvet and just use this down blanket. It is perfect for me. It is lightweight, yet has just enough warmth without making me too hot. I couldn't be happier.

I bought a Puredown blanket years ago at a Down Under store and it's been the best blanket I could have asked for. Very light weight and thin yet extremely warm and cool at the same time. I cannot sleep with any other type of blanket. That one was getting old so I bought this one, it's exactly the same. There was an issue with the first order but the excellent customer service took care of it and I got a new blanket. I'm very happy with my purchase and the customer service provided.

I bought the blue (which is really more a dusty aqua) and the color was perfect for me. The wide satin binding is a good match and a lovely touch. It is indeed a lighter weight blanket and it’s lightly filled with down not feathers (so you can’t see any feathers inside). It won’t be warm enough on a really cold winter night (I live in SK so that means -30C to -40C ); however, I tend to sleep cool and have used it when it was -25C outside and set at 17C inside and I was very comfortable. The outer fabric at 400 count cotton is very comfortable to sleep under. It does wrinkle some but it’s cotton and I didn’t find it a major issue. I took it out of the dryer right away and gave it a few good shakes and I thought it was fine. I think it did shrink a bit with the first drying but it wasn’t a problem for me because I’m using it on a double (54”) bed. Blanket seems to be well made and I’m happy with it. Maybe a bit high-priced but I needed the color and the satin edging all round was a selling feature because I’m using it as a top duvet/spread. Wish it had matching shams or pillowcases but I may attempt to find some matching satin fabric and make my own.

I’ve purchased a number of these blankets as gifts over the years and love how well the wash/dry. They provide just the right amount of warmth and not bulky like comforters.
