These are so cool. They are so calming to watch and fun to see what the final look will be. Love having one to just take a moment and relax and watch the new “mountain ranges” come in.

I adjusted the air and water a little bit when I got it but I'd recommend NOT doing that first because I think the issue was my technique of flipping. Instead of rotating it to flip it, imagine flipping it like how you flip a coin but slowly. Try to get the air bubble(s) to move across and stop the sand from falling as quickly as you can. I get it wrong about half the time and all the sand falls fast because the bubbles don't stretch across. However, when I get it right I get amazing sandscapes! I'd try that first and watch some YouTube on adding/removing air and visually get an idea of how much air you see in the sand art. I definitely think it was worth the money overall and recommend getting practice in flipping the orientation (and using patience) before you adjust the air or water levels.

Sand moved so-so. Read that it takes a while. Giving this as a gift and will update if issues. This item came with a needle syringe which was confusing and possibly dangerous for small children.

This product is way better than I expected. Purchased it as a "backup" Christmas gift, but ended up keeping it for myself. I have been amazed...I have used this perhaps 50 times since Christmas. I turn it over at least 1x per day. I expected the different colored sand to blend together over time, but they did not. There is still significant color striation even after the sand has been mixed over 50 times. I also expected that the way the sand drops to the bottom would decline over time, but it continues to have just a small stream or two, making the "mountain" effect.My particular item looks exactly like the picture in the product listing, even after having been used many many times. Amazing.The only small nitpicky thing that isn't perfect is the base. It's an inexpensive "hollow" plastic base. I suspect that is to keep the price-point reasonable, but it isn't of the same quality as the sand sculpture is.So I have been delighted that this exceeded my initial expectations.

It was given as a gift. Recipient is very happy with this item. This is perfect for anyone who needs a way to relax at home after a stressful day.

Great product but you MUST READ INSTRUCTIONS. First, proper water/air ratio needs balanced to drop the sand at a "slow" pace to create mountain peaks. Shaking it prior to turning creates the bubbles needed, but too many bubbles will prevent it from working. Mine needs adjusted, but looks great regardless, very happy with my purchase

I was excited to set this item up in my classroom. When I opened the box it came with the circle (with sand), a stand and a syringe(thought that was weird). I set the item up and the sand wasn't falling. As I looked at the box there was a vague picture using the syringe, so I added some water to the item with the hope that the sand would begin moving the way it is supposed to. But nope! It cracked and broke. So it is now in the trash. Better directions would be nice.
