VTech Whiz Kid Learning System

It's great and I am getting ready to purchase other Whiz Kid games. Since my 2 1/2 has mastered the mouse, all he wants are computer games. I purchased the Whiz Kid to see if it would challenge him and it does. When we are home we play together on the computer but when we are on the road he can play with it in the vehicle. Only down side is all the sheets. They get dispersed quickly in the vehicle.

This is a very good way to start off your child to learning.my baby boy is so amazed and knows how to turn off and on the toy.likes the music too. he dances to some of the music even though theyare short. very educational. teaches numbers, letters, sounds, andyou can reproduce the pages if they get destroyed because of the CD.Highly recommended for kids. they will surely love this, as my child andi do.

I purchased the Vtech Whiz Kid Learning System about 3 years ago for my 3 1/2 year old daughter. It was a bit advanced for her so she has only played with it the past 1 1/2 years once in a great while. I went to replace the batteries and it would not come on. I tried another set and still no luck, so I called the company. The lady I talked to was nice and tried to help me by having me remove the batteries and let it rest for 30 seconds and put them back in, nothing happened. She had me removed the batteries again and hold the on/off button down for 30 seconds and then put the batteries back in, and still nothing. She then put me on hold only to come back and tell me there was nothing they could do. I asked about repairing the devise and she said since it was out of warranty (which is 1 year) and there was NOTHING they could do. I asked to speak to a manager and was put on hold again for her to come back and tell me they would tell me the same thing she did. I said that I still wanted to speak to the manager since I had wasted so much of my time and money on their product and felt they could take a little time out to talk with me about their faulty toy. She said they could call me back. I'm not holding my breath.So this machine that was over $100 new and has been VERY lightly used by a gentle 6 year old girl is now worthless with a company that will not stand behind their products. I am very disappointed in vtech's service and hope this will help someone else save time and money by choosing to do business with a different company that will stand behind their products.

I purchased 2 of these 2 years ago for my children and they have been awesome. This year I purchased 2 on separate occassions for birthday gifts and both have defects. They won't read many of the pages. I have tried contacting vtech and have received absolutely no help and am stuck with a nonworking toy. I actually ended up giving one of my daughters Whiz Kids to the child we originally gave one of the defective games.

Although my 3 and 4 year olds enjoy this toy, they need a lot of supervision to operate it. They already know the alphabet, letter sounds, colors, shapes, have some number skills, and can do any game on the Noggin website on their own, but they have trouble on Whiz Kid with the pen and can't read the activity buttons. Also, the power switch is not in the best place and can be accidentally hit. I found that the activities would be good for maybe 5-7 year olds, but it is misleading to think that 3-4 year olds could use it independently. Also, the activity pages are easily bent.

I bought this for my four year old son a month ago and he loves it! It's great for when we're in the car on a long journey or any where for that matter. It keeps him really occupied singing, counting, spelling, hearing short stories, the time - you name it has it! A couple of things I would change is that when a story/rhyme is being read the words should high-light to make it easier for them to follow. I would also recommend it having a clip or something at the back where the extra sheets are stored; that way it would stop the cards from falling out when they move around with it. Overall ,I found this was definitely a product that was value for the money.

I bought this as a learning tool for my grandson who's in kindergarten. He hardly plays with anything else. Once very shy when it came to participating in class, now he's the first one to raise his hand. Excellent learning tool for beginers in reading and math...and so much more

I gave the VTech WhizKid Learning System to my niece's son for his birthday. She told me that it really holds his attention and he really loves it. She believes that he will ues it for years to come. I give this toy 5 stars.
