Then, last spring I purchased the madetec solar fountain. It worked flawlessly all spring, summer and fall. When it came time to winterize the backyard (haha-winterize in southern California), I removed the water from the fountain, and removed the solar fountain, cleaned out the filter and put it away for the season. Well, last week I was getting things ready to open up for the season and I checked and tested the solar fountain for proper working order. Still worked perfect!Then, I saw an email from madetec advertising their new model that had solar led lights that would operate for 4 hours post sunlight. I ordered it. Here are the wonderful new features:1. They added these clear straws (like sputnik) that keep it away from getting too close to the sides of the bowl, thereby pumping the water out of bowl. This design change should win awards.2. The addition of led lights and the post sunlight lights is just awesome. I love it3. The solar panel and overall construction of the product seems like they went from skinny kid to body builder in 1 season.Overall, I am super impressed with this product and I suggest to all of you looking for this solution choose the madetec 3w solar led fountain!

I have to tell you there is nothing I did not like about this fountain! I only lost water when the wind blew it out of dish, it was not due to the fountain moving, it was stabilized as promised! And the color is gorgeous!! I am confident this will be a huge seller for the company!!I want to commend you on making such a beautiful fountain!!

This fountain is awesome! There are seven different nozzles to choose from to change the spray pattern. The LED lights rotate through the colors at night, and creates a really neat effect in combination with the spraying water. It doesn't take long for the solar panels to charge and once I submerged the fountain in water, it very quickly began to spray. I highly recommend this fountain!

I love my fountain, at least so far. I really love how it works at night. The only reason I didn’t give 5 star is because of the straws. I couldn’t get them perfectly even and it made my fountain tilt and kind of sink down in the water.

I have ordered a few different fountains now from different places. None had worked properly, they wouldn't stay in the center, and even if there wasn't a cloud in the sky, it seemed like they were never truly working. This one has been great, and my family very much enjoys the lights that come on for a little at night. Unfortunately the little plastic pipe things did not have any way to attach to keep it in the middle, buy we had found an alternative method. I had to. Use the lowest height, water producing, valve. As my fountain is not super wide, the strength of the water being produced would drain out my fountain. But after everything with it. I'm more than satisfied and enjoy having it.

We purchased two of the previous version and had issues and they replaced one of the two no charge which helped, however this new version is far superior in every way.I was surprised that the solar light actually lasted for about 3 hours in the evening after a cloudy day, and now that the water doesn't all splash out of the fountain, it truly does last and run much better.

Super easy to put together (pretty much unbox and put in water). I had to play with the heads a little bit to find the one I wanted. Started with the wide one but sometimes it would shoot water out of the birdbath. I did notice the the power of the fountain increases with sun, so day 1 you might be like oh ok I like this one, and then the next day at noon it's a foot higher/wider lol. So it just takes some playing around to decide what you like. I didn't need the LED light feature, but I'm glad to have it. It's actually really pretty at night. I'm thinking of getting my mom some of these for her pool! I think they would be beautiful at night floating around with the fountain and lights.Only had it a week. I'll update my review in a couple months too.

This is a great fountain. The third I’ve purchased. Small enough for an 11” birdbath. Very happy with the product and the nightlights are a bit of whimsy.
