This is a great toy for thee right cat. My cat has played with it some but is still skeptical of it. I do think he will warm up to it as he will watch it in the Auto-Modes. It stays charges a long time. I have not used it but 5-10 minutes at a time. Mine did not come with a charging cable, but no big deal picked another one up just for it i.e. uses the Mini-USB. No problem on hard floors or our low pile carpet. Do not have high pile or shag so cannot report on it's function on these types. Works GREAT on our short pile carpet - it is Fast and I like using the remote just to control it and may like it more then my cat. All cat lovers know every toy will not work for all cats. Cats find that ONE toy that triggers him/her and you may hit it first time around or you may go though countless toys until you hit that Special One. So up to you, but it is neat and my cat dones play with it some,, but time will tell.

The media could not be loaded.  Kittens were intrigued but the adult cat loved it! This is the most he’s played with a toy in awhile (he’s 2). It really keeps him engaged and I love that there are several replacement parts and feathers! Only downside is if you have a lot of furniture it will tend to get stuck in places. It does not avoid obstacles like the description states but will try to turn. In this case you’d be better using the remote control to steer it. Seems very durable and the charge lasts (haven’t had to recharge it yet.) Would definitely recommend this toy, it’s a great one!

Like other reviews mentioned, this thing is FAST. It’s a little faster than I’d prefer but I have a energetic kitty so it’s okay. She was a little scared of it at first but she’s warming up to it and plays with it even when it’s not on. Turning it on manually and using the remote control are both super confusing and I haven’t figured either out yet. I just press buttons until eventually it starts going, either automatically or using my remote. I wish there were more clear instructions but overall good product! Keeps her entertained

UPDATED REVIEW: I got the replacement, and it works very well, but there's still issues.1- The main thing is it's just too fast. Pretty much any movement causes the pole and attached toy to whip around really hard, smacking any interested cat in the face. All our cats are pretty much scared of it for this reason, and once even got a small scratch on their nose from being hit. The speed also makes it very hard to control in manual mode. Even the "slow" auto speed is still very quick and causes the same whipping issue.2- I took the toy pole off to see if any of the cats might just like to chase the main toy, and it can't really go anywhere without the pole on it - the wheel speed and force are so overpowered that it just spins the middle component rather that moving unless the pole is attached to hit the floor and stop the middle part from spinning, therefore forcing the wheels to move the whole thing.3- lastly, the sensor that's supposed to stop it from running into things and getting stuck doesn't really work.It's a nice idea, but there's just too many problems to make it very useable.Original review:I charged the toy for over 24 hours waiting for the lights to go off (as the instructions say they're supposed to once fully charged). Even thought the lights were still going, I went ahead an tried playing with it after letting it charge for so long and it lasted 2 minutes before dying and not coming back on. I've submitted for a replacement and will change my review if the next works fine.My cat is very upset because, for the 2 minutes it worked, she was massively into it and now just keeps screaming at me to play more with it lol

I bought this toy because I have a senior yet still very energetic cat that I need to keep happy .Even more so now since I work from home , and I have nobody else helping me play with him during the day .Getting something that would help him burn some of that energy was imperative , or my dearest ever so loving pet would have sabotaged my need to be productive by harassing me while I am talking to my customers .This little gadget keeps him running , pouncing , prawling .... and he goes on for hours on end , it’s been such a blessing . It’s super easy to charge and to set off , and I go my merry way without a cat pawing my legs . I love how it came with a few different attachments , so if my furrfriend gets tired of one , all I have to do is choose a different one to make it look like a brand new toy , not that it happens often anyways . The device keeps a constant change in direction while it runs and it’s super fast too which keeps my cat alway on his toebeans, he loves it and so do I. Being a mom and working full time this is exactly what we needed , my cat was at the point where he was attacking everything in sight because of his extra energy . One battery charging session keeps the motor running for hours on end , and it’s really quick to charge up also .Best pet toy ever, it was just the interactive gadget we wanted .

My cat loved this toy. The auto mode was quite nice and kept her attention. However, this toy seems designed to break. The wheels have a narrow gap leading into the rotors which debris can easily work its way into. This would be a minor annoyance if the wheels were removable but they are not. The toy became sluggish after a couple days and it appears that some loose cat hair got tangled in the rotors with no way to clean them out. I'd recommend buying a similar toy from another brand
