A tail is required
You need four things for success with this kite: kite, line, tail and wind. You will fail if you have only three of those. A youtuber, jamesb72, flys $100 dollars of camera gear in the air with this exact kite. He uses a 17 meter (about 50 feet) fuzzy tail tied on in āUā shape.KITE: colorful spinnaker nylon constructed with simple seams. Sold through Amazon, shipped from China. Arrived ahead of predicted four weeks and included, kite, storage bag and cheap twisted line. Mine measured close to described size, 140cm x 85cm . Kite is about 12 square feet. Dollar per square foot it is a bargain. Note in Amazons picture the kite is wider than tall, inherently not stable! It is like a dual line kite wired to fly on a single line.LINE: I lost one of these kites using the supplied line. It snapped in 20 mph gusts and my kite went into Lake Michigan. I now fly with #200 braided dacron line, slight overkill but I get to take my kite home.TAIL: Not supplied. You will need one. I use light nylon netting over ten feet long and a foot wide, tied to both corners and a home installed center tab. Jamesb72 uses about 50 feet of fuzzy tail in a U.WIND: My anemometer was not accurate before it broke so I am guessing. I have flown under 10mph with a homemade multiple small plastic bag tail. I broke the supplied line in 20mph gusts. The Amazon description lists 28mph, at that speed get good line, gloves and strong arms.

Nice kite for the money, but needs tails
Good construction and super easy to pack after flying it. Flies fine in steady winds, but definitely needs tails (not included) to provide some stability in light or gusty winds. I made some minor adjustments to a couple of the leader strings to get them all uniform, which improved the performance. Overall this is a great kite for the money.

Doesn't fly-Save your money for something better.
I have tried and tried to get this kite to stay in the air but it refuses. It flies at a poor angle of attack and then lists to the right until it crashes to the ground. I have tried adjusting the bridle but it does not see to help. Each bridle line attaches to a just one spot on the kite instead of attaching at two spots like most standard parafoils you will come across. This means there is much less ability to adjust flight characteristics than there should be. It is too bad because the materials, color and size seem nice. Also note though, that while this kite is listed as slightly larger than identical ones online the seller is measuring the diagonal size of the kite instead of the length and width. Save your money and buy a slightly nicer kite that actually works.

skipper
The kite is extremely unbalanced. It does not catch the wind even at 30mph. It keeps turning upside-down and hits the ground. It is simple not worth the money. The material does feel like normal kite material, but the contour at the top opening keeps folding down and blocking the vents. Looks like a kite, but doesn't act like one.

Flew fantastically well. On days when wind was so low that all 8 of my other kites came down multiple times , this kite never came down until I reeled it in.
