I have 4 cats and 2 of them love to hurry up and eat their food then try to push the other cats away from their bowls and eat their food too. I purchased 1 set of 2 of these to see if I could help keep the 2 cats from rushing through their food and eating so much. I was nervous at first because all of my cats eat out of raised bowls but my cats love these feeding mats. I immediately saw a difference in their eating speed. It has helped them to slow down while eating and has stopped them running to the other cats' bowls to try to eat up their food. Now each cat has a chance to eat their own food. I recommend these mats if you have a cat that tries to eat up all the food from other cats. It has definitely improved their eating habits.

I have three cats. One is not highly food motivated and eats very slowly. One eats normal. And one gobbles down everything in sight like she just stepped out of the desert after being stranded for a week. She will rush through her plate so she can try and steal from her slower older sister and we couldn't figure out how to slower her down. The other normal eater will not rush, but if she finishes first she will also go nosing around her older sister to see if she can get a bit more. We got these to try and solve the issue. The little gavone gets the green one, with the more intricate designs, and it takes her more than twice as long to eat as it does with a regular bowl. The one who eats normally uses the orange fish dish, which has less intricate designs. It slows her down a bit too. The older cat can now finish at her leisure and walk off to groom her whiskers before the other two are done. They're cute, look pretty durable, and are very easy to clean.

The cats really enjoy these. It keeps them busy trying to like the food out of them for a good while. They clean up easily with a sponge and some soap and water. The pate food works best in them. Only 4 stars because the cats can tear them if they try and chew on them. The green one has some really tight areas where they can't lick the food out of. Which leads to them trying to use their teeth on it. And they have taken a couple chunks out of them. So I will keep an eye on them and pick them up once they get to that point. Still good but I would just get the orange ones if I had it to do over again.

Review update as of July 25th, 2023: Purchased a replacement pair, green & blue, and still love the green mat. I ditched the blue mat after five days because it’s a pain to keep clean. I couldn’t release the wet food from the tiny squares even with the jet setting on my outdoor hose. I used an old toothbrush, but that’s a pain, too. Much easier to clean the green mat. (Prev review) I love this and my cat loves this. It’s been working great (purchased May 2022) until it got this weird stain and greasiness on it (see photos). I always store this clean, so, this isn’t because of food residue. So, I washed it and the greasiness went away, although not the orange stain. I used this particular mat in our camper when we travel, so, after washing it I stored it in the pantry. About a month later I brought it out and the greasiness had returned. It’s a mystery, and decided that I didn’t want my cat eating off of it anymore. Other than the greasiness and the stain, this is a good product.

I ordered two lickimats and one arrived with half the tail missing. Very upsetting considering that I had to ship it from Amazon internationally and so paid double. Also, waited for a month and a half to arrive. All in all, it's a fun little mat, but it's not challenging enough for my one year old cat. he gulps his food very quickly off it. I think it's a better suit for the kitten.

Well, these things were a hit! I don’t know how I ever did without them. But the cat do love these things. They are the perfect size. And I love the colors. And they were worth the investment.

Item is as described. This mat helps my cat slow down when he eats and makes it more of a challenge for him, haha. It's easy to clean up too. It's pretty sturdy, once you put it down, it stays in place. I'd definitely recommend this for anyone with a cat or cats that scarf down their food!

We were using normal low wall cat dishes before and had a problem where our black cat would eat very slowly, then walk away from his food. If he actually stayed at his dish, then the other two cats would finish theirs so fast and then come after his. Getting these slow cat feeders turned out to be the solution to both problems. Notes: • No sides to hit cat whiskers while they eat. This might be part of the reason the black cat would eat so slowly then walk away. Funny enough, he actually eats a little faster with the lick mat. • Slows down eating that now all the cats finish their food around the same time, so there's less wandering over to another cats mat and eating more of thier share. • It can be a little hard to spread the food onto the mat until you get used to it. I was using the back of a small spoon at first to spread the food, but found that using a larger spoon worked better. • Using a stream of water to wash these will result in a lot of splashback. I found that soaking the mats for a few minutes and then using a spray pattern to clean them works great. We were so happy with how well these worked out that we ended up buying another set (6 total) so that we could always make sure we had a clean set ready to use in case we forgot to clean them from the night before.

I absolutely love these lick mats. I got them for my first cat as a kitten for when he got neutered. Knowing he wouldn't be able to lick himself for a week but he could still get the sense of it with a treat or food and a lick mat. I then started using the mats with my new kitten who eats faster that my cat. I love that they are easy to use and easy to clean. In the summer, I'll mix a churu with some water, pour it into the lick mat and freeze it so my cats have a cool treat on a hot day. I highly recommend especially for indoor cat owners!

The design of this food mat is great. This slowed down my faster eater well, which stops her from stealing her sister's food. Easy to clean. I recommend using gravy wet food instead of jelly as it's easier to spread on the mat.

Lovely design, my cat loves eating from it and helps him to pace himself.

Ho un gatto esotico con il muso schiacciato da una portiera ed è faticoso trovare delle ciotole adatte. Questa era piatta e in gomma e speravo mi evitasse lo spargimento di croccantini per casa. L'ho comprata anche perché l'idea alla base è davvero interessante ma, il mio gatto non era dello stesso parere. Forse non ha apprezzato il materiale gommoso e a dire il vero neanche io perché non è lavabile in lavastoviglie. Peccato davvero perché avevo alte aspettative.

This is a great mat. One of my cats vomits after eating and this has completely stopped that for her. This design is easy to clean. I have another design by this brand and it’s impossible to get food out but this one is fantastic. I ordered two!
