Just the right fit for large calves
So, I grew up riding bicycles, roller skating, playing sports (lots of soccer) and was an adult USSF Soccer referee for 10 years. As such, I have big calves (not quite as bad as the biker on the Liberty Mutual car insurance commercials, but you get the idea). It's tough enough to find denim jeans that fit comfortably. Ugh. Another complication - I was involved in a pretty tough car accident several years ago, broken bones, immobility, skin grafts, and as such, circulation in my legs is less than ideal. One of the items my doctor recommended were some compression socks, similar to those people wear jogging or on long air-flights to prevent circulation problems. I've tried a couple different brands, but in all honesty - one pair would almost NOT FIT over my calves, and another would stretch enough, but I could not wear them for long time-periods. When I came across these lat month, (no endorsements here, I'm just a customer) I figured why not try something different? Not only did the seller drop me a note to see how they fit (who does this?) but they were exactly what I needed. I can wear this on my left leg (the bad one) all day at work, and even 5pm there's a spring in my step, no discomfort, and they provide really good support without cutting off the very circulation I'm trying to encourage. I've worn them walking the mall and the neighborhood, perfectly comfortable. Easy to get them on and off, and good quality fabric seems to wash well. Love them. I am very happy with my purchase, with the caring support of the seller, these are absolutely fantastic! Now, about those jeans.........

True Fit For BIG Calves!
When my legs are swollen my calf measures between 25 and slightly over 26 inches. I've tried so many brands of compression socks and sleeves at their correct size range and now have a drawer full of socks that don't fit correctly. Some came close, but had that miserable, painful rolling top after just a short time of wearing. I thought I'd just have to suffer. THEN I made one last purchase and tried Zeta Compression sleeves in 4X. AT LAST!!! A compression sleeve that really fits a big calf! These garments are fantastic. They are comfortable and don't make my legs itch or feel overly constricted. The best part? They have a soft, stretchy, wide top that doesn't roll down! I can wear my sleeves for a full day with no slipping or the dreaded rolling top. My legs feel so much better! I also really appreciate Zeta is a small, family owned business who really produce a an excellent product that is very needed by so many people.

Buy a size larger, but other than that it's a good product.
When I took them out of the package my first thought was "they're not going to fit." And they almost didn't. I have had them on for almost an hour and the longer I have them on the better they feel. My calves don't feel like balloons that are filled to capacity anymore. At the bottom is a next day update. I bought the size up because I am sort of in between the size ranges and I am glad I did because if I had bought the "right size" I am sure they wouldn't have fit. I only gave them 4 stars because of their sizing issue, I highly doubt that someone with a 28" calf could get these on, at least not without a lot of help and some blood, sweat, and tears. I got the sleeves almost 2 hours ago and to be honest it took me nearly 30 minutes to get them on because of mobility issues and because when they would bunch the pressure would cause them to sink into my leg (because of edema) and then I would have to overcome this by pulling the bunched portion up and over the valley it created. These are the first compression socks/sleeves I have ever worn so I am not hip to any tricks on how to get them on quicker and easier yet, but I learned a lot from my first experience. I tried rolling them first, but this didn't work, it made the whole process harder because the rolled up material became harder to stretch and would dig in much easier and once that happened getting the rolled band out of the edema valleys was next to impossible. What did seem to work best was to fold the sleeve over itself in half and once I got it over my foot, which was an adventure in itself, I then was able to slide the rest up until it ran out of material to slide against and it began to bunch up as I needed to pull up from the bottom to get more fabric to complete the job. I am sure as I use these more I will discover more and more tricks. With all the pulling and tugging I was doing on these, I never once felt like they were going to rip. Right after I put them on I thought I made a mistake, but decided to leave them on for a bit to see if they continued to feel funky. The longer I have had them on the better they feel. So far they have helped reduce the size of my calves a little, I notice the reduction. I suspect they will further reduce the size as the night goes on. One other thing, my calves were feeling hard before I put the sleeves on but since I have had the sleeves on one has really softened up and the other is noticeably softer. I am sorry for writing such a long review, but I wrote the sort of review I was looking for when I bought these. I suppose I could have just said "they're good, will buy more" and been done with it. I hope whoever is reading this has found this helpful. ****Next day Update**** Taking the sleeves off before bed was a chore, but mostly because it was hard getting them past my ankles. I could tell my calves had reduced in size, but frankly at the size they are unless the reductions are huge they will still pretty much look the same. The muscles were softer, more supple; in previous days my calves have been drum tight and that's the main reason I got the sleeves, I have been worried about the constant pressure on my calves, which is always worse in the summer. This morning my calves still seemed to be less plump, and the muscles were more supple then they have been. I was debating on whether to go through the struggle of putting the sleeves back on but when I saw and felt how much better my calves were today, that made my decision for me. Turns out, putting them on this morning was much easier. Yes, there was a bit of a struggle, mostly trying to get them past my ankle and on trying to get a good grip of the material on the outer portion of my leg, which is harder for me to get to; but all in all putting them on was no where near as difficult as when I first put them on, in fact I was kind of surprised at how much easier it was (it was encouraging). Now that they have been on for a little bit this morning, they feel nicer today. There was one area that dug into my leg yesterday, it was up near my knee on the inner side of my leg, which began the moment I put the sleeves on. Both sides did it, but one was worse than the other and no matter how much I moved the fabric around, it remained tight and at one point I thought about cutting the fabric at the top to relieve the pressure, but images of the entire thing snapping off my leg like a big rubber band or a balloon popping came to mind so I let be for the moment. Anyway, so far today either sleeve hasn't dug into my leg yet so that's promising as well. So, all in all they are working and I would say they are worth it. I wanted to test them out before I bought more and I will definitely be buying more.

Worth the purchase!!!!
I don't usually rate items but I had to let others know how great this product is. I have always had issues with the one leg getting swollen & retaining fluid. More recently, I encountered pain with the swelling. My doctor recommended that I try OTC compression stockings so I saw these and read the reviews and thought let's give it a try...for $20, you can't beat it, right? Anyhow, they came with instructions on how to wear, wash, & put on. They are high quality and smooth feeling. They have survived multiple wears/washes and I couldn't be happier. This brand is worth it. Measure your calf like the instructions in the item details state & go by Zeta's size recommendation. I went with XL size based my calf size & Zeta's recommendation and they fit perfect. They don't squeeze or pinch my legs or ankles and they don't bunch up or slide down. I bought more pairs since my original purchase and I will continue to purchase this brand. Just follow washing instructions & air dry them and their life is definitely prolonged. I have noticed a reduction in swelling and pain too. Buy them! You'll be happy you did. I know I am!

Hooray for Zeta!
I'm new to the "joys" of compression legwear. My cardiologist recommended I wear compression stockings for edema. Finding the right pair of compression stockings can be like an orthopedic version of Rubik's Cube - they fit the calves but not the feet; or the feet but not the ankles...then another fits the calves but not the toes.... AACK! Long story short, the first pair I tried of a different brand of toeless compression stockings cut into my ankles and it was actually harder to get them off than put them on in the first place, and putting them on was a workout. SO... back to the search.... I tried Zeta because they were described as easier to get on/off, comfortable, most importantly, there were sizes for large calves... (mine are 20") but I didn't want to cover ankles due to the rut the other brand dug into them. I purchased the short XXL as recommended by Zeta rep. On I used a dressing aid for socks to get it over my foot and the upper part was fine but, the short end got "stuck" halfway over my foot and wouldn't budge. Now the Zeta calf support was on my leg, stretching from just under the knee to halfway up my foot. Frustrated but figuring something was better than nothing, I decided to leave it that way and monitor during the day for ruts in my ankles. At the end of the day, there was not a noticeable increase in the uncovered part of my foot - and minimal wrinkling at the ankles - no ruts! I may have found the solution to my fitting issues, unorthodox as it is. I have also purchased a full-length XXL toeless stocking from Zeta but haven't tried it yet. In the meantime, this works very very well and am ordering another pair of this style.

My husband stole mine :p
I bought these for myself as I suffer from swelling and edema in my legs and feet. Tired of having cankles and just feeling generally uncomfortable everyday I decided to purchase these sleeves as an alternative to full cover compression socks (I hate wearing socks in warm weather). I am a large woman at 6'1" and I scrutinize sizing very carefully. These fit true to size. It is really hard to find a compression aid that ticks all the boxes but these do. The material looks to be of a high quality density but yet still very breathable. The tension is supportive but not overly constricting. The look and feel of the sleeve is more athletic so you don't feel like you are wearing your grandma's stockings which is kind of a big deal to me because as we all know nothing says sexy like compression socks/sleeves. :/ I actually may have talked them up too much because my husband has promptly "borrowed" them to use while he is playing the drums to reduce swelling in his wrists and hands. I was quite impressed with the versatility of this product (can be used for both calves and forearms without compromising its effectiveness) which just adds more value to the purchase price. So now for me it is a case of "It was good while it lasted" lol I suppose I need to buy another pair . . . . or two.

Great Choice for Compression with Large Calves
Some background: I bought these to prevent and reduce swelling in my legs while being active. I had DVTs which led to PEs which led to pulmonary hypertension which causes my legs to swell, especially when I'm active. Since corrective surgery one year ago, I've adopted a cardio and strength routine, which has been great for my heart and lungs, but hard on my legs and made my need for large-size compression even greater. I started with compression socks which started good, but put too much strain on my legs as my feet swelled. These are perfect. They go on easily and hit right above the ankle and below the knee. They're comfortable. They stay up. They provide good compression as I push harder. My energy lasts longer as the circulation stays strong. Plus, since they aren't socks, they don't dirty as quickly. I wear these whenever I'm active, and plan to pick-up additional pairs.

comfortable and stretchy
After purchasing at least 10 different pairs of compression socks, these are the perfect item! I don't like compression sock texture on my feet but need it for my calves. These actually stretch easy and fit comfortably without feeling so tight like others.

Comfortable and effective!
So comfortable and effective for 12hr hospital shifts. I like these because I can wear socks that I like as I find the full compression socks aren’t as comfortable in the foot area

Calf muscles pain relief socks.
It is really good and well designed. I could wear them for long duration and carry-out day today activities as usual. Very much satisfied. For me the selected size suits my requirement. I am happy to recommend this product. One quick advice is: 1. Prior to the order do measure your calf leg size and proceed. 2. Do a good cold wash and then use them. 3. If you have a dry skin, apply a little bit of petroleum jelly (Vaseline) to moisturize the skin and then wear the socks.
