Helpful to start off a lesson or for reinforcement in small group instruction in Reading.
I like how this text uses a step by step approach and is divided into weekly lessons. Any teacher or parent can follow the instruction notes for each week as well as the guidance on each page and assist his/her student/child.

A great supplement to my daughter's reading and spelling program
A great supplement to my daughter's reading and spelling program. Quick and easy, maybe five minutes each day but they sure helped. My daughter loved doing them too.

Does the job
This book does a good job explaining phonics, however some of these concepts are what my 1st grader has in some of his other 1st grade books. Seems like they would be easy for a 2nd grader. I like the dictations.

Glad I bought a grade higher
Fun book to reinforce phonics. Phonics can be stressful so this is a nice and fun approachable way for kids to become stronger in the foundations of reading skill. Glad I went a grade higher, after looking at the level of the pages. Grade 2 has been perfect for my new first graders homeschool curriculum. I poured this with the reading comprehension grade 1 and it has been a perfect combo for us. I wanted a fun challenge for her not just repetitive busy work.

Amazing book to review phonics
We love this book. We have used it as a part of our homeschooling. Itโs very simple - not overwhelming for grade 2. Plus it helps to practice basic in a easy way.
