Ellie is my hero!
So kawaii!!! Cute cute cute! This is shoujo manga done right! Our girl is a total delusional perv and I love it! Omi-kun seems to have been hurt before and has a fake Prince Charming façade going on to mask his true curt personality, but the two of them together... Oh god the feels!!! Going right onto vol. 2. See you there 😚

More Unique than I thought
This manga is one I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about it. But I was pleasantly surprised. This manga has the meek girl and the popular guy getting together trope which can be a hit or miss for me personally but this was a hit. My only issues I had were that there was quite a bit repetitiveness and occurred and miscommunication. Overall, I enjoyed myself and am curious what the rest of the series brings. 3.5 out of 5 stars

A cute teenage romance series that's worth reading
No Spoiler Review (Insta @pagesofthyme)Plot:Lovesick Ellie is a cute romantic comedy set in high school where we follow Ellie, a teen who fantasizes about her crush on Twitter using an alias. Her crush being the prince of her high school, Ohmi. She soon finds out he’s not as much of a prince as she had once thought and he turns out to be a devil jerk… or is he?The main (possible) couple:Ellie is a sweetheart who’s shy and has poor social skills which leads her to being ignored by people most of the time. She’s never really had a friend either.Ohmi is the prince of the school, Mr. popular and his first impression is that he’s a jerk but he’s actually just misunderstood. He’s nicer than what he likes to admit because I think he wears his heart on his sleeve. It was really nice to see him opening up to Ellie.Thoughts:I decided to read this book because it seemed cute from the description and the cover. I have read manga with a similar plot before but it never gets old for me.My initial thoughts while reading was that the book’s pacing was a bit too fast for the romance but I had to remind myself these characters are teens and it was more them being awkward instead of being romantic. And yes they’re pretty adorkable (am I old for using this word?)Honestly, the story was at a 3.5 in the beginning until the characters own issues began driving the story even more. Once Ellie began to share more of her own personal issues, (her lack of social skills and constant self-doubt) and once Ohmi shared his too (insecurities, loneliness, hates being used by people) everything began to fall into place. I ended up finding myself rooting for Ellie to make her first friend and to see her self-worth more. And with Ohmi I found myself starting to like the guy, despite his rough first impressions. I kinda ship them together.Would I read Volume 2?Volume 1 has left on a cliffhanger, introducing a potential love rival and I’m so confused and excited for what will happen next! So yes I will read volume 2 because I liked this book a lot.Final Rating:5/5 because there was nothing I really didn’t like. I had a great time reading it. Yeah I know I said that generally I rate a book 5/5 if it’s life changing but I also do it if the book is just fun. Sometimes I base it on feeling.

Few dents but looks new
Book was delayed when arriving but took a star off because it felt kinda dusty on my hands. There were some noticeable issues with the bottom of the book as there was a wavy dent, almost like it was in contact with water. Tried flipping through the pages to get rid of the dusty feeling but nonetheless it was alright
