Let me start by saying that the title and blurb of this book barely graze the the magnificence of this novel. I was unsure initially, but I am so glad I took a chance and downloaded this anyway. This book had everything that makes a good YA.Badass protagonist? CheckSexy guys? CheckIntriguing world building? CheckGenuine plot twists and mystery? Double checkMakes me want to read the next book ASAP? Triple check!!I loved everything about this book. The authors took the typical YA tropes and spun them into something original, dark, sexy and mysterious. This book had reignited my love for YA, and I cannot wait for the next book!

I really enjoyed reading Princess Ballot. I've been in a bit of a book funk recently and nothing has really been grabbing my attention, however anything that is written by Jaymin Eve is an automatic buy for me. My friend also raved about this book to me which spurred me on to pick this up and give it a try. I'm so glad I did as I devoured it all in one sitting and was left panting for the second book. I liked the fire in Violet and the darkness in Rafe. I loved that we didn't just see the fmc pining around for the love interest whilst he was busy flirting with other women. Oh no, this book almost turned that idea on its head and I was cheering finally. Does this book have a love triangle, not really. I thought when I read the blurb that might be the case, but it isn't and you really do have to read this book to understand what I mean. The ending was a bit of a shocker, I was expecting something but I hadn't guessed that! I'm really looking forward to book two in this series and seeing what Violet does with the information she discovered at the end. This book pulled me out of the funk I was in and I'm so glad I picked it up. Five stars from me as I loved it.

I friggin loved this book, shouldnt be suprised as Jaymin and Tate are a perfect mix at creating amazing stories....To be honest i purchased this book as soon as it was released but didnt tuck in right away (it pained me, trust me) BUT im glad i waited as i dont have to wait for the next books...I wanna sign myself up as those princes... (Rafe, Jordan, Nolan 🤤 yes please lol)I didnt like Alex, i thought he was being a snake and was fake, suprised it took Vi as long as it did to click....Im rooting 100% for Rafe...⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is an amazing book, recently I've been in a reading slum as I came out of my last book hangover. I was only partly reading my books then switching. But not with this amazing book I've read it all the way through when I should be asleep already as it's 2 am. This is a must read which is amazing but how could it be anything less with it being from two of my favourite author's. I absolutely love this book and will be not so patiently waiting for the next book. Ahhh how I just love and hate cliff hangers, but this one was quite a mild one.

I loved Violet as a character she was tough, strong and resilient character who had had a harsh childhood and she was looking for a place to belong. Arbon Academy offers her a scholarship and her life changes overnight. Unfortunately not everyone wants the poor orphan at a school for Elite Royalty! I loved that even the secondary characters where fabulous and it was good to see her best friend at school didn’t have an agenda or wasn’t a bully herself! This isn’t RH but I’m told it may go that way! I can’t wait for the next book!

This book is seriously addictive. I need book 2 NOW.I love the world-building in this book. It's a futuristic post-war setting where countries and nations are divided and joined in a way that's different, but familiar. Each nation has its own monarchy and they are brutal. The academy is a college/university but kind of feels like a secondary school at times with the uniforms and curfew. It's a minor gripe. The characters in the book are fascinating, and I'm desperately trying to figure out people motives - especially after the last revelation. Violet is about to seriously show us what she's made of and I am hyped for the next book!!

Holy hell Tate and Jaymin have done it again!! A kicks female lead who knows her own mind and wont suffer fools (or boys) lightly. She can hold her own yet I feel there is more to Violet than meets the eye. When it comes to a possible love interest I'm not sure who I'm rooting for at the moment, it has RH possibilities, even if it's not all love interests for Vi. Cant wait to see how it develops in the next book ......
