Yea the price was right but it gets 4 stars for one reason, it is slow to get to the temperature.Most probes ya stick in, wait a second or two and bam! Not this one. I did rate accuracy 5 stars but how would I know? Nothing to compare it to, I mean if I had another probe for comparison, why would I buy this one? duh.

Use this to check my internal temps as i smoke meat and even when oven cooking some stuff. has always been right on with the much pricier probes i use as a primary set and easy to read and fairly quick also. Can't beat it for the money.

I had a regular old meat thermometer for years. My ex-ex-ex bf in culinary school left it here, and I've been using it ever since. Til I broke it.I thought I'd get a fancy electronic one but... why?? It takes longer to get a reading and it's REALLY big. I mostly cook one serving of chicken breast in my air fryer, and this is just a big, slow contraption I'm fumbling around with. I accidently switched it to Celsius and that was a minor ordeal to fix, and I realized I just need a simple old fashioned thermometer and not this slow thing.

Bought this for our Churches Ice Cream Social to check the temperature of the food. Very easy to use and accurate.

In the description it states instant read HOWEVER it is not at all instant. once the probe is inserted the digital readout shows the room temp or where ever the probe was sitting temperatures, it then starts jumping the temp up and to get to the temp of the probe location takes several moments of waiting with your hand over a hot grill. I have this same unit purchased a few years ago and that older version is instant this unit is anything but instant.

Easy to read. Nice for the price

The thermometer is slow and not sure if it's very accurate. Mine keeps flashing back and forth between the temp in Celsius and the turn on setting. Had to turn off and on a couple times on initial unpackaging to get it to stay of Fahrenheit. Seems to work now. It's very lightweight plastic so do NOT leave near high heat (open flames).
