I purchased 3 of the yak bone wrist malas (yellow, purple, and orange) and, for an inexpensive price, they’re nice malas. I have purchased other malas from Hands of Tibet on another website, so I knew what I was buying here.The dye on the beads will begin to rub off over time. Avoid getting them wet. That helps.Because I have the time, I will restring them with more durable nylon cord and hand knot between each bead. For those wondering, the adjustable knot is typically 7-9 square knots. There are plenty of YouTube videos that can show you how to do all of this.In theory, you shouldn’t have to restring something yourself, but these are very inexpensive malas, so you get what you pay for. They’re nice malas, but they will unravel or break eventually.If you’re not into DIY projects, check my other reviews for more expensive malas made with better craftsmanship.

Love the look of this Mala. It's big and stands out. The color is amazing as well. It might be kinda bulky for some with the large beads, but fine for me since i have a big wrist\arm. I take it off when i shower and it's been holding up nice. Will be ordering some more in the future.I try to purchase from a shop that helps support my local temple when I can, but their Mala's mostly have elastic bands and are to small for my wrist (makes gaps in the beads and tight on the wrist). I picked this one due to the adjustability (not sure if that's a word, lol) and larger circumference of the band.... and the amazing beads, can't forget that :)

This started to fall apart after a day of wear. I was at home all day relaxing on the couch, and wasn't rock climbing or doing a obstacle course or anything crazy and it started to fray. Mildly disappointing since the beads were all mismatched and some of them missing pieces. Cant recommend.

I needed something simple but sturdy for my wrists as many of these types of bracelets have broken off before. This appears to be well made. While the pouch is nice, not needed in my opinion. I believe there is one size, my wrists are average and this bracket is slightly too big but it hasn’t fallen off yet.

Initially, I received a mala that had come apart in transit. Once I was able to connect with the maker, I received a gracious apology and a new one within a few days. It arrived as described and exceeds my expectations with regard to quality. I have now been wearing this product every day for just under 16 months.....removing it when I shower and sleep. However, I confess that I swim with it regularly in the sea and lightly rinse the salt off in the sink and let it dry for the night. It still shows **no sign** of wear. I am impressed. It is very comfortable and easy to adjust. And being a Buddhist meditator, I appreciate the number of beads and the perfect little movement allowed to facilitate movement to track my prayers. I intend to purchase others as gifts in the future. Highly recommend.

Everything was beautiful and as advertised, but sadly the bracelet was too big for my petite wife. The accompanying bag is a wonderful addition, and worth the price alone. For women with average or above hands/wrists, or men that like a thicker bracelet, this is a bargain, and beautiful. We just wish it was smaller.

I just got into meditation and was looking for a Mala for meditation when I came across this. It's a little bulky, but I like the weight of it. If you're a crunchy granola who doesn't mind wearing bone, then this is a cool little thing. The knotwork on it is pretty impressive, and I don't worry about it coming apart.
