Amazing Approach
This is the best hands-on tutorial you could hope for: clear instructions, screen shots of app interface, and really a complete guide. I’ve talked to folks from absolute beginners, to Logic veterans who learned new tricks and approaches from working through the chapters. The projects in the chapters can be completed in about an hour (some more, many less) making it a great way to brush up commend shortcuts and general DAW concepts. Exactly what I was needing!

Book is great but beware this seller has a hidden Charge on Delivery fee and it ain’t cheap!! Get the book, but find it elsewhere.

Excellent guide for learning Logic Pro.
While not your least expensive option, well worth the price. Screen shots are high def and easy to see. Step be step tutorials easy to follow. I first paid for an online course, but gave up. It was hard to follow. I much prefer a book where I can proceed at my own pace.

Great Intro to Logic Pro
Just started working through this. Two tips for others working through this.1. You have to download the full sound library for it to be a complete course, i tried to do it without it but it doesn’t work.2. The authors website and forum is a great help and he’s quick to answer your questions. Awesome feature!

Works fine with Logic Pro 10.6
Highly recommend this book of exercises -- I had learned a fair amount by experimenting, reading Apple's varied PDFs, perusing forums (including the author's own extremely helpful Logic Pro Help site) and YouTube videos, but wanted a faster way to a deeper grounding in this vast and deep toolset, and this was just the ticket. So much of Logic Pro is simply not discoverable on your own, especially many time saving workflow items in which this book excels. Resist the urge to skip ahead (as I did), many exercises are built upon work you've done previously and if you get lost (as I did), simply work your way backwards to the point where you skipped ahead and missed an important step or instruction. The only thing missing are deep dives into the bundled virtual synths beyond the surprisingly powerful Quick Sampler, which to be fair likely deserve their own books. Lastly, I'm using Logic Pro 10.6 and found no difference at all in the book's exercises. Great read, excellent downloadable content, and I'm a whole lot more confident and effective in the tool. Buy it.
