I am the owner of a pocket hammock and I got tired of tying each side down with ropes. I wanted to try this tree swing strap to see if this would cut down on my set up. This is a single strap and does not work if you want to hang out a hammock on both sides, but the one strap was shorter than tying both sides down. This is a very durable strap that feels exactly like a car seat belt material. The carabiner is very heavy and is very sturdy, locking into place. This tree strap with that carabiner is very heavy and actually weighs more than my entire hammock with the tie down ropes. This tree strap did not come with any instructions (guess it's self-explanatory) and can only be used perpendicular to the ground. It did a nice job of holding up one side of my hammock and I can see how this would be great to attach a little swing to. From the feels of things, I do not think that the weather will damage this product since it feels like it is made to last and it claims to be water resistant. A heavy duty tree swing handing strap. Made out of the same stuff a seat belt is made of. I can see it lasting for years. A strong and sturdy tie for hanging a swing on a tree. I used it to hand my rope swing and put about 200 lbs on it and it didn't move at all. I trust that it will hold for years to come. I received a discount in exchange for my honest, unbiased review.
