Fixed my unbalanced washer problem!
TLDR: If you are experiencing an issue with your Samsung top loading washer giving you a DC error, you may find luck replacing your suspension rods with this part. Worked for me, more details below. P.S. Shipped quicker than I expected.I took the chance on buying a used set of a Samsung HE top loading washer and dryer set. Initially I thought the washer was working fine and then I kept getting this strange pesky DC error. After a lot of trouble shooting I found some people put foam to around the tub to fix the issue. I tried, it didn't work. I double, triple, and quadruple checked the leveling of the washer. I must have entered the service mode 20 times before finally I saw that many who had the same issue as me found that replacing their old suspension rods with these guys, fixed the problem. They're more expensive than the original part. But the picture I included shows you a significant difference between the two items. I replaced all four of mine, I'm handy but they are rather easy to remove and install (watch a youtube video about how to open the guy up and wear work gloves). I finished the install, crossed my fingers that I didn't screw up the electronics, and went into service mode. For the first time since I got the washer it reached it's max speed of ~800 rpm. It did not bounce around, it did not shake. It stayed perfectly still and reached the proper speed. The highest it would hit before was about 400 rpm; then after the repair it also was able to hold a high speed of ~700 rpm for 10 minutes. At the moment I declare the problem fixed. As time goes on I will update if the part breaks down, I'd like to see the long game out on this one. Will update if I remember.

These will (likely) fix your Samsung washer if shaking violently during spin cycle
My new rule of thumb - every tv I own will be Samsung. Every appliance I own... ermmm (you can figure that part out). Now that I've gotten that out of the way, I have a washer that started shaking violently during cycles, to the point that I would get that dreaded "DC" error.I initially tried taking 1 1/2 inch radiator hose and tightening them around the springs -that worked for others, not for me.I tried stuffing memory foam inside the machine, between the chassis and the container where you put the dirty clothes - that worked for others, but not for me.I installed four (4) of these - easy fix done in less than 10 minutes (found out how on YouTube). So far they are working perfectly and I can do my wash again!!! And these look so much better than the original, cheap cr@p dampers that Samsung installed. The springs are noticeably thicker and I really like that there is the reinforcement around them, too.Don't forget to get this with a lubricant - I got white lithium gel, which I sprayed inside the socket where the top part falls into place, as well as on top of the semi-spherical part on the bottom where it plugs into place.Crossing my fingers - after a bunch of laundries done so far, this solution will last me a long time.

Excellent replacement for Samsung washer that can't finish cycle
I was lucky enough to not only have one of the affected Samsung washers that could explode, but also discover the suspension springs were failing, and quick. Even the lightest of laundry loads would go out of balance and send a dreaded error code. While I had the top popped off of the washer, I managed to swap out the front two springs. Immediate difference noticed in how the washer now performs. I will be popping the top of the washer off again to replace the back two soon.If you are lucky enough to have the extended warranty through Samsung, I would try to make them pay for the cost of replacing these suspension dampers. Otherwise, buy them and see if it will fix your Samsung. I use this in a house of 7 and time could not wait to replace these springs (laundry was piling up fast). I will check back in the next year with an update regarding long-term success of these springs.

The fix for the Samsung washer out of balance alarms and tub thump
This OEM spring support set completely fixes the out of balance alarms and continual banging that my kenmore/Samsung washing machine experienced. I did try the fix of rubber sleeves on the springs, that helped considerably but did not get rid of the banging of the tub hitting the sides of the machine with heavier loads. This is what should have been provided as a fix for the recall of these washing machines flying apart. My old support springs lasted about 4-5 years from new with average daily use. Tub thump started after 2 years. It will be interesting to see how long these last as they look considerably more heavy duty than the originals. The machine now also reaches full spin speed which it has not for the past 2 years including the time with tube fix of the old spring supports which did stop the out of balance alarms.

If you have a Samsung washing machine, consider these
The suspension rods in out Samsung washing machine gave way after about 10 years, and it would shake violently when doing the spin cycle. So violently, in fact, that it shattered the housing for the water pump causing it to come off the washing machine, causing water to flood our garage (well, only that area of the garage, but still bad enough). These thicker rods handle the abuse better and was way cheaper than buying a new washing machine. If you decide to install these yourself, make life easy on yourself and get a second person to help.

Fixed the dreaded "DC" error!
We have one of the recalled samsung washers, but the amount offered by manufacturer for washer replacement was ridiculous. The recall fix was bolting down washer top. However in our opinion that did not fix actual problem. We kept getting the dreaded "DC" error every time we tried to wash clothes. The washer sounded like it was going to explode when it went out of balance. I just wanted to get rid of it even though it was not that old. My husband talked me in to trying to replace the springs first. I did not have much faith, but he did not want to spend money on a new washer so we gave these a try. To our amazement these fixed the problem and we have not had a "DC" error since! Saved us alot of money!!

Fixed my vibration issues
Bought 4 of these for my Samsung top loader, the original ones about 6-7yrs old were done and causing massive vibration. Swapped them out in about 45min, did the leveling procedure in the manual and she’s running like brand new again!
